I have read that according to the 30th Ch. entitled Effects of Planets in Bhavas in Kalyana Varma's Saravali.
It says "If Mars occupies 12th, Mangala-12 will have diseased eyes, will fall in moral sense, will kill his wife, be a talebearer, be fierce and will contract humility and imprisonment" through no fault of his.
I have Kuja in my 12th with Ketu, and at the age of 19, I was imprisoned for no fault of mine, is that Kuja's effect?
So what else should I expect, as obviously it does not merely occur in the astral plane?

This is not a simple question !
You will need to examine (1) the Vimshottari dasha periods in effect at the time of imprisonment (2) the relationship of the major and minor period lords at the time of imprisonment (3) rashi and Nakshatra of Kuja and same for Ketu (4) incoming drishti to vyaya bhava (5) condition of both Kuja and Ketu in navamsha and other varga ( 6) transits at the time of imprisonment (7) about 100 other things!!
Keep in mind that the imagination is absolutely real. It is the image factory like a"green Bhava" which produces the first emergent growth of the seeds of karma. Karma = 'obligatory action' = material-plane manifestation.
Dear Barbara,What is the affect of a Mars 8th house aspect onto its house of exaltation (capricorn)? I am a cancer lagna so Mars is Yogakaraka, but it worries me that Mars is in the 12th. I have heard that when a planet aspects its own house then this is beneficial, but does this also apply to houses of exaltation too?
