Budha occupies the stable and professionalized 7th + 10th from Kumara's svabhava = 3 + 6.

Budha-12 represents students, pupils, apprentices, disciples [Budha] mastering the Narratives of private prayer, contemplation, sleep and dreams, intuitive spiritual guidance, clairsentient awareness, meditation, Other Worlds

due to the career indications of the 7-10 angle, budha-12 can produce a surprisingly distinguished public reputation (10th) even when dedicated to handling very private interior and meditative matters.

In business, transactional Budha-12 may feel invisible or not clearly understood when serving in a commercial capacity in a land where the language or customs of one's people are not known. Commerce is less clear due to the need for Budha the Messenger to translate and interpret between regional differences, variances of idiom, or unfamiliar customs.

Mentality of privacy and seclusion, albeit logical in expression

Excellent placement for professional international or cross-cultural translators in any industry. Their gesturing and linguistic skills are essential to the transaction Yet, the communicator takes a background role in 12.

  • Navamani Malai 1879-1950 Bhagavan Shri Ramana Maharshi of Arunachala [Budha-yuti-Shukra] Although RM wrote only a handful of hymns by himself, shri Ramana Maharshi's dictated explanations and descriptions were transcribed by his devoted audience. He specialized in describing the invisible (12) energy transformations [Vrischika] operating the cycle of birth and death.

Classroom Topics of Bhava-12

As a svabhava of broadly philosophical Brihaspati, bhava-12 = not an ideal location for logical, detail-oriented Professor Budha

Instruction offered by graha who are operating in the classroom of shala-sthāna-12 pertains to matters of privacy, invisibility, appearance of loss (not a genuine loss generally but a temporary cessation of ability to detect.

Bhava-12 specializes in sanctuaries and enclosures, distance, far-away lands, the unseen worlds, the rest-station between death and rebirth, enclosed private spaces and relationships, hospitals and monasteries, prisons and refugee camps, bunkers and dormitories, and every variety of cloister.

Barking Budha provides a range of Transactions in bhava-12 via articulatory instruments of :

  • dream interpretation
  • instructions of the spirit guides
  • narrative voice of the Ancestors
  • management [Budha] of the extensive inventories of psychic images (imagination/magic)
  • meditative awareness
  • itineraries for travel to foreign lands
  • reporting from the distance
  • divinations facilitated by spiritual guides
  • imagery documentation
  • espionage
  • conduct via astral passageways
  • measurements and maps of infinite places in the distant cosmos
  • research into the invisible

Budha-12 has several levels of awareness. The default level = private bedroom where clandestine couplings [Budha] may be conducted.

Another level of Budha-12 awareness may be a gift for communicating with distant lands and their emissaries (message, budha). May be found in the nativities of government leaders yuti Surya, when international conversation with distant governments is part of their job.

A more subtle level of awareness may allow Professor Budha to become an explainer of the purportedly invisible and perhaps a mouthpiece for the discourse of spiritual guides.

Budha-12 = an intuitive thinker with cooperative contacts in many worlds (12). A gifted clairsentient messenger when the skilled listening function of prayer (not the petitionary function) is emphasized in the nativity.

Budha-12 may have discussions with the leaders of distant lands, but nevertheless remains a privately enclosed person.

Narrative of Other Worlds

talking, gesturing, reporting, writing, painting, tool-using, technology-applying, arguing, criticizing, explaining, instructing, training, short-term, naear-goal travel and constantly interacting with others, regarding the objectified narrated experience of dissolution into the astral world, clairsentient communication, crossing the bridge from material world sense into dream world, experience of death and meditative stillness, bedroom and pillow-talk

Budha the Logician is neutrally placed in a svabhava of philosophical teacher Guru. Budha-12 enjoys many opportunities to receive instruction from spiritual guides. Furthermore, budha-12 if Budha is strong will parlay these instructions to others. Budha does not generate His own information. Budha = simply a signal repeater.

Spirit guides are active in this life and much imaginative intelligence is engaged. However, the instructions of the ancestral Guide's tend to direct one along a portion of the astral-to-material path (12) which develops logical argumentation and mentalized instructional forms [Budha].

The ancestral guidance does not directly steer Budha-12 through the channel which develops intuitive wisdom via direct, holistic dream imagery or merging with the Divine presence via reflective prayer [Guru]. The preferred channel is conscious reasoning.

However, because Budha is simply a signal-repeater, the Kumara's logical and narrative tendencies do not interfere with the spiritual content of the guidance. Budha in 12 re-tells philosophical and religious tales . Budha in 12 continues and explains various narrative and scriptural lineage teachings e.g. via scriptural exegesis .

Not an original teacher but simply a clear and non-disruptive mimic, skilled translator, and scribe of Guru's wisdom-teachings.

Effects are similar to Budha in bhava-9 narrative of father-figure and tribal chieftain ; -- in that Guru the natural regulator of both 9 and 12 sees young Budha as an enemy.

Therefore, as Das-Behari says below, aconflict between Budha's commercial-practical-textual mentality and the astral-plane meditative imagistic wisdom occurs.

Blustering Budha is not entirely welcome or completely flourishing in 9 because Budha will not permit the truth to persist merely as existent imagistic non-mentalized reality.

Bantering Budha must transform the psychic, clairvoyant, transcendently meditative truth of communication with the ancestors from the dream world into books, magazines, websites, movies, and songs.

[uchcha-Budha] in 12 is a classifier and arguer of astral imagery, and a skilled facilitator of communication between the rishis and ancestors on the astral side of the bridge as they exchange information with spiritual seekers on the material side of the bridge.

[uchcha-Budha]-12 may prefer to write in logical discourse whenever there is time after religious or teaching duties (10) since 10th-from-Budha-Kanya [uchcha] [svakshetra] [mūlatrikoṇa if within 16-20 deg]-12 = dharma-sthāna-Mithuna.

svakshetra Budha-12 = may prefer to remain privately communicative in bedroom or sanctuary relationships due to coupling nature of Mithuna.

Nevertheless Budha-12 is blessed with high intelligence and is often a superb explainer [Budha] and 'astral tour guide' for others who wish to interpret [Budha] their private memories, dreams, and reflections.

Budha-12 = articulatory skill to communicate about private things, such as

Backroom political dealings; palace intrigue

clandestine foreign dealings

private bedroom practices, private lifestyle * fantasies dreams and wishes

seclusion, meditation, clairsentient guidance, private prayer

distant or imaginary worlds, inner worlds

Intuitively guided Research

fantasy; artistic inspiration, writing of imaginative poems-songs-stories

Budha in Vyayabhava-12 = one of the strongest symptoms of a good astrologer and dream-interpreter. Budha explains the nature of the traffic on the ephemeral bridge between the astral plane (subconscious) and the material plane (conscious).

Budha-12 also contributes to the dissolution of the material plane identity. Budha's thoughts, words, and gestures tend to siphon off the vitality from the animal, blood-fed, muscular body and transmit the life-force back into the dream world. As a result Budha becomes associated with losses and the two domains which Budha activates will get drained of their positive reserves.

Budha-12 is inclined toward thought patterns which roam the bridge that spans from the material plane to the astral plane. Such a native lives perhaps in a state of meditative awareness without particularly needing to establish a separate ritual practice.

Social-material achievement

Travel guide in foreign lands, atranslator of foreign texts, or a therapist in private enclosure.

  • Often an excellent writer on foreign or imaginary subjects or dream interpreter.

  • Knowledge of the symbols representing patterns in unconscious memory.

Privacy

Budha-12 privatizes the mentality. The Kumara = blessed with clairsentience and is vividly able to receive guidance through meditation, reflection, or dreams.

Yet even [uchcha-Budha] (for Tula indriya-lagna) which makes extremely elaborate and accurate arguments is largely unable to reach the public due to containment in the astral sanctuary.

Damages the relationship to siblings: either loss of a sibling by death or social-emotional dissolution of the relationship to the siblings.

Dreams = verbal and busy, full of information.

  • Budha-12 may talk to oneself or host running conversations of others in their own mind.

  • Requires training to separate one's own thought narrative from the thought narratives of others.

Mercurial Imagination

Distant Lands and Inner Lands

Meditative daydreams and fantasie of siblings and sibling-quick communications.

Rapid processing of topics related to distant lands and inner lands, and production of writing and publication, of planning, organizing, and scheduling, of rapid travel to multiple destinations, of commerce and business exchange transactions.

Budha-12 will ne a person of quick wit and commercial acumen in a future life, with a strong connection to the world of writing and publications. By default, graha in Bhava-12 are 'dissolved' into astral imagery which has not yet descended into material form. Whether this distinction will manifest partially in the current life depends on the supporting graha and the degree of meditative practice (12).

Favors scientific research into communication systems and into the psychology of thinking [Budha].

Clairsentient capabilities

Budha-12 can utilize advanced psychic perceptual acuity. One is aware of the fragility and heightened sensitivity field of children and animals.

Mental productivity enhanced by sanctuary protective walls; retreat may be required to function successfully; facility with library research, scientific experiments in controlled circumstances, travel writing, reports from the beyond. Great imagination, although whether its product is useful in the material world will depend on incoming drishti and condition of Budha's lord.

Budha produces a good deal of mental traffic and chatter in whatever house He occupies. In 12, the nature of the chatter is contemplative, reflective, rather private, imaginative, and mixed with Guru's classic religious intuition.

Mental illness. Budha-12 may be a successful writer on foreign subjects, such as long sojourn in foreign lands or the ways of exotic peoples. Facility with divination and dream-interpretation. In rashi of Budha (Mithuna, Kanya) mental talent for palmistry and card-reading.

Mentally-analytically clairsentient

Detailed and articulate imagination and may be a gifted storyteller with an amazing flair for psychological narrative. Yet, the material manifestation of the two bhava ruled by Budha = expressed in a dissolved style, primarily via the imagistic channel of dreams

AH IS AWAKe

"Leading a Spotless Life" in The Path of Individual Liberation ,

Volume One of The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma,

by Chögyam Trungpa, page 225

"Postmeditation as well as sitting meditation is symbolized by the syllable AH.

AH represents openness and humor - it represents dharma, the truth of the teaching.

When we become aware of something, we say AH!

People tend to think of meditation practice as a way of calming down and soothing yourself.

But in Buddhism there is a sense of AH!

You are not trying to calm yourself down - you are trying to be awake as opposed to asleep." [end quote]

Where the Thoughts do Linger

The bhava which is 3rd-from-Budha also creates a"landing pad" upon which the electro-magnetic initiating thoughts tend to dwell and linger.

Naturally, if graha occupy this "focus " bhava, the nature of the repeating narrative engagement with those thoughts will adjust according to the character of the tenant graha.thoughts focus upon third-from-Budha = dhana-bhava-2

NOURISHMENT OF THE CONTEMPLATIVE

QUOTATION from

HH Dalai Lama, Transcendent Wisdom , pages 72-73

"The feelings of joy and sorrow do not exist from their own side. Although they exist as conceptual imputations, you cling to them as existing from their own side. Feelings do not exist by their own intrinsic nature; rather, they are identified on the basis of contributing circumstances.

Therefore, this analysis is cultivated as an antidote for that [false conception of intrinsic existence].

The meditative absorption that arises from the field of discriminative investigation is the food of the contemplative. ~~ Shantideva

Feelings do not truly exist; they are not found when sought through analysis; they do not exist independently, but exist by the power of convention. Thus, the means for overcoming the misconception of the true existence of feelings is meditation on their lack of such existence. This entails analyzing the mode of existence of feelings.

Such investigation is an aid to meditative absorption and leads to the integration of meditative quiescence and insight. That increases the physical vitality of the contemplative and enhances the power of his [or her] spiritual practice. Thus it is called the nourishment of the contemplative."
