Rahu-Mithunaya chalakaraka = motivated by a privilege-seeking Ambition to Advertise and Announce.
Rahu-Mithunaya seeks to get ahead via roles in media-messaging, explanatory, instructive, descriptive, hand-craft, team-work, sales-commercial, short term travel, publishing, audio-video, event-management, tele-communications.
An ambitious and important manager of talented Others.
Rahu-Mithunaya = fascinated by exotic messenger roles.
Rahu-Mithuna may seduces one into exciting, upward-propelled, privilege-seeking
POTUS-pair-39 Mental Health 1927- Rosalynn Smith Carter (2) * her announcements, meetings, presentations and publications have focused on the social-boundary topic of mental illness and its vulnerabilities in society (Mithuna mentality)'
Cleverly skillful message-mixers, often multi-lingual, multi-cultural, multi-sexual-identity
Small-Detail-accurate Budha, who is Rahu's ruler , is a natural enemy of broadly philosophical, big-picture, generalizing Guru. Rahu pumps up nerdy, detail-obsessed Budha, lord of the Hands, manager of fingers, fixated upon minor details. The inner narrative goes into overdrive. There is constant chatter in the mind, much of it focused upon the 3rd-from discourse of administrative business and management.
Rahu-Mithunaya is terrified of losing His trajectory impetus. Rahu is always seeking to gain unearned privilege by taking risks and impressing people with His administrative acumen. Rahu takes on challenges of too much detail, too many small tasks, too much writing and short-term travel - while investing this mundane choreography of minutiae with prestigious significance. Periods of Rahu are generally very busy!
Snake-like Naga gets fascinated by the goal of privileged entitlement. Rahu seeks the prizes accorded to one who delivers the Best Report.
When quite near to the goal and nearly assured of success, Naga then *may * be ejected via delivery of pretentious instructions.
Great leap forward into Media Communications Privilege
Lord of the Message
Find busy broadcasting Professor Budha and know His effects in the radix and navamsha. Rahu will amplify Budha's effects, and also the effects of any other graha occupying Mithunaya.
Risk-taking behavior = Rahu's signature feature oily smoke in contest of Mithunaya = hands, lungs, arms, shoulders.
Can be negative Issues with substance-smoking (3, lungs yuti Rahu smoke) addictions or other consequences of oily smoke.
Even the oily smoke produced by the burning of corpses may be involved, as in the horrifying example of death-camp ideologue Germany-Nazi 1889-1945 Reichskanzler Adolf Hitler .
Cuba-Dictator 1926-2016 Fidel Castro * legendary speeches lasting for hours on patriotic topics often spun from his imagination (Rahu-12). FC was a huge smoker (Mithunaya lungs)
Communicative power entitlements.
One desires the privilege of being listened to, having one's films watched in awe, one's advertising and sales messages should fascinate the audience
Rahu magnifies a desire to define and solve problems, enthusiasm for conversation, sexual attractions and pairings, and craving for intellectual stimulation.
In Mithunaya, Rahu's desire-inflaming passions acquire Budha-like communicative characteristics. One tends to have persuasive conversational or articulatory skills that cause others to be attracted to one while simultaneously permitting breakage of designated social taboos.
The specific taboo is indicated by the bhava.
as well as most bhukti of Rahu (depending on Rahu-Mithuna's angle to the mahadasha pati) will exhibit the script qualities of Mithuna.
Trajectory to Higher Privilege via Media Communications, Conversation, and Planning
Rahu-Mithuna's Great Leap Forward is chatty and conversational. The typical starting scene is a written or filmed document, such as a movie, book, plan, article, charter or constitution, television or radio announcement, report, photograph, et-cetera.
The Rahu-Mithuna experience begins with some variety of communicative message by writing, sound, or photographic image (according to the bhava) which give publicity to the native either physically, psychologically, or spiritually.
An enunciation of evangelism is required. The environment supports publishing and narrative-development behaviors. The important actors typically hold rank of broadcast media producer, publications director, advertising or marketing specialist, etc.
Narrative from inside, instruction from outside
Rahu-Mithuna might engage in self-explanatory behavior driven by a sudden, obsessive attraction * akarshana * to an unusual source of publicity.
The elaboration of the scope of the personality integrity or the body might start (or seem to start) from completely external circumstances, such as getting a job in the film or photography industry, publishing one's book or article, or getting a college degree in journalism.
Rahu-Mithuna might start the cycle with a desire to promote one's own image, one's own worldview, and one's own personal story.
Rahu-Mithuna is not so much a desire to get famous (that is Simha/5) but rather a desire to stay in the conversation, to have trajectory-speed control over what other people think.
The longer the Rahu-Mithuna period, the more opportunity for dramatic development. After the initial image-or narrative promotion event, there is continuous development of the media package.
If Rahu-Mithuna is associated with a maraka graha, the craving for sale, marketing, and advertising may be punctuated by deaths or severe loss such as divorce. The death or tragic separation can be self-inflicted due to Rahu's restless discontent and desire for quick acquisition of higher privilege.
Rahu-Mithuna brings important new actors into the life scene, and these actors are typically from a different cultural background. the native is published into the culture of the new actor, and may be asked to make frequent reports and announcements, so that the public conversation about the native 's enunciated narrative can continue. One needs to acquire or remember elements of this new actor's worldview in order for the native to make the leap into one's next life phase.
| Barbara, |
I am running thru RAhu Maha Dasa and going thru the worst of the situations. I do not even know if I survive in next months before the Rahu- Jupiter period ends in April 2014. My RAHU BEING IN SECOND hOuse, and I am exactly going thru the Rahu-jupiter antardasa, I am not sure if I would cross this time and live afterwards.
At times and by experience I have experienced and been thru that Meditation can cancel or get us thru the Astrological ailments. But now I am not able to see anything of that, but going thru very hard times.

Thanks for your kind email. I am happy to know that you are studying the character of Professor Rahu via the method of living through His Mahadasha. As always the very best remedy for any astrological situation is to offer Seva.
The offering of Seva should be targeted specifically to the type of persons who have one's same condition in a slightly worse degree.
For example if one seeks to offer Seva as a method to remediate the negative effects of Rahu Mahadasha, and Professor Rahu occupies the rashi of Mithunaya where Rahula likes to twist and exaggerate the mental narrative, it can be very educational (and corrective) to offer Seva for those who are suffering mental ailments.
These persons may suffer from irrational thinking, they may be hyper-verbal (compulsively chattering) or their description of reality may be over-dramatized and immature (due to Kumara-Budha = adolescent mentality). These persons may be teenagers, or they may be adults who think like teenagers, self-reflexively, without too much awareness of how their narrative compares to the normal adult narrative.
By serving such mentally hyperactive personalities, one may gain important corrective insights into one's own ongoing mental narrative. The most beneficial outcome may be increased awareness of Rahu-Mithunaya's tendency to exaggerate and over-dramatize the life story.
Although such a tendency can be helpful for a professional dramatic script-writer or novelist, it is often a sign of immaturity in adult life and it leads to suffering when one begins to believe one's own inflated story.
Therefore, seva offered to overly mentalized persons can provide a useful compare-and-contrast observation that may lead to self-correction of Rahu's default behaviors.
Rahu in bhava-2 * passion for treasuries is rarely a killer. Rahu-2 gains no marana capability unless many other conditions apply: such as (1) bhava-8 shows an abbreviated lifespan, (2) the lord of bhava-2 is a marana-graha, and (3) the subperiod of Rahu's ruler occurs during a less benevolent transit of the marana-pathi. Even these three conditions may not be adequate to trigger release from this earthly vale. If Shani occupies 8, it may be a long life indeed.
