Guru-yuti-Surya typically produces multiple father-figures during one's lifetime. Brihaspati is a multiplier, producing many-of, much-of, diversity-of, generosity-of. Surya represents the biological father and those in center-stage roles who radiate intelligence, celebrity, uniqueness, and self-proclaimed authority. The additional father-figures may be socially titled as step-father or adoptive father, afatherly figure in the role of legal custodian or protector, amother's brother who assumes fatherly duties, afatherly indoctrinator or guide such as a guru or professor, the religious ordinations addressed as father (pope, papa, frere) or one holding a similar fatherly status.
Asta = Dagdha = too close to burning rays of Surya If Guru resides within 12 degrees of Surya, brihaspati is considered to be combust = kazimi = moudhya = asta = dagdha (and many other names for this burnt status). The predicted effects of generous guiding Guru -- according to His bhava, rashi, drishti inter alia = reduced when Guru gets overwhelmed by the self-focus of Surya. The outcome of this reduced empowerment may be positive in the case that Guru is a less fortunate bhavapathi - for example for Tula indriya-lagna where Brihaspati activates bhava 3-6. Thus the moudhya Guru is less capable of generating conflict via the rogabhava. Also in the case of [nīcha-Guru] where Brihaspati's confidence in materialism (the keynote of Guru-Makara) is usually problematic, Makara-Guru in moudhya status is less able to pursue His misguided beliefs in the importance of social status and material wealth. EXAMPLE POTUS-25 Gold Standard 1843-1901 William McKinley + [nīcha-Śrāvaṇa-Guru-yuti-Surya-Śrāvaṇa] + [nīcha-Śrāvaṇa-Guru-yuti-Chandra-Vaishva] + + [Shani-9-Dhanus parivartamsha Guru-10-Makara-nīcha] [10, institutional governance]
Expansion [Guru] of the charismatic, center-stage, radiant confidence [Surya] often enacts father-figure qualities [Guru-Kumbha] yuti [Surya-Kumbha]
The native and one's father are accustomed to having broad permission [Guru] to play center-stage roles [Surya]
Feminine nativity, Guru dhavakaraka धव कारक ; = significator of the grower, inseminator, expander HUSBAND From the perspective of a wifely nativity, the husband is likely to be strongly influenced by his father, to the point of being potentially overwhelmed by the radiance of her father-in-law. EXAMPLE POTUS-pair-43 School Libraries 1946- Laura Welch Bush [Arcturus-Surya-yuti-Guru-Arcturus] [7, arrangements]
EXAMPLE in 7 = creative-performance partnerships Silly Love Songs 1942- Beatle Paul McCartney [Surya-yuti-Guru] [Surya in bhava-7] + [Guru in bhava-7] Mithuna
The masculine personalities are multiplied and become prosperous. One's own creativity expands.
Outcome depends upon the bhava ruled by Surya and the bhava ruled by Guru.
For Tulā indriya-lagna, Guru activates bhava-3 and bhava-6. Thus Guru's effects often challenge both the mental stability and the physical health. The best outcomes for this Guru oblige an explicit ministry of service to those living in a state of conflict, such as legal advocacy, medicine or military professions. Surya vriddhi-pati-11 is gainful and economically networked, but Surya must earn via service and the service must extend to that population which has constant and recurrent "problematics " such as poverty, disease-discomfort, servitude, pollution, accusations, and social conflict. If these conditions are met, the Guru-Surya pair can succeed.

If dagdha Brihaspati also lacks favorable drishti, this condition can give an autistic effect in regard to matters of philosophy and religion, and an autocratic or solipsistic style of teaching. With no malice aforethought, the native is simply not aware of the needs or expectations of one's students, religious congregation, the feelings of the higher teachers, or those who draw solace from their faith. One's philosophy may be rather primitive, based only upon one's own personal experiences and not easily accommodating of the philosophical views of others. If Professor Guru is an uncomfortable influence (e.g. for Tulā indriya-lagna) then moudhya-dosha Brihaspati can create a positive outcome by reducing the capabilities of a negative agent.

Q. Namaste Barbara Pijan I have Guru-yuti-Surya 12th house kartaka rashi but I do not have two father figures as described in this reading. I did, however, come to idealise God as my only true father. Do you think that due to the subconscious ideals of both surya and Guru in 12th house that God as Father would be second father mentioned? ~~ born in 1991, query placed in 2016 A. You are very young. Rather than asserting that, I do not have two father figures, it would be more modest to say, with less than one quarter of my present lifetime completed, I have not yet noticed two father figures. The agents are two human people, not one human and one metaphorical ideal. The Surya figure as lagnesha is characterized by self-confidence and likely a bit of solipsism. The Guru-figure is characterized by generosity and abundance along with a degree of secrecy. Wishing you and your family every happiness, healing from sorrow, guidance by inner light, and success in all of life's endeavors, Sincerely, BPL |
