BPL commentary: For Shata-taraka natives, the disposition of Rahu considerably affects the outcome

"A quiet and unassuming person,

thoughtful and meditative

  • yet given to sudden outbursts of temper.

Lives in the mental world rather than in the physical.

Prefers solitude to the company of others.

  • Does not care for small talk

  • and finds social contact rather tiresome.

Memories Dreams Reflections 1875-1961 Carl Jung

"Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people."

Rahu * Ketu

Chandra in bhava-3 drishti from Guru-9 * mentalized, spiritualized nature of the mother

Jung wrote in Memories, Dreams, Reflections. p. 18. that in his childhood he had three siblings but he was the only surviving child. He records that his mother remained often in her bedroom, where she said that spirits visited her at night. While she behaved normally in the daytime, according to Jung's recollections his mother had frequent night visitations from spirits and young Carl himself saw luminous etheric forms coming and going from her room.

vargottamsha * Guru-Thula rules Dhanushya 10th navamsha a Guru-9 theories of reality, dharma, doctrine * Jung was a pioneering (Mangala) theorist of western "depth psychology"

Karakamsha Meena-2 contains Rahu in bhava-2* Jung was extremely outspoken about sometimes unsavory psychological realities of the depths of human foundational under-consciousness. His own family was somewhat exotic for the day. While they worked to preserve a prim and proper facade, to the extent of suppressing his writings (keeping the Red Book in a bank vault for decades) the family had their irregularities as well.

Jung's literary legacy far outlived him. After Jung's fleshdeath, several books of his most influential were published from his Collected Works, including:

Jung draws from the myths and lore of his homeland, Germanic culture at its root. Unlike Nietzsche he does not need to evoke the spirits of cultures long past in order to make his seminal point about the creativity of the subconscious. Representing the confluence of Rahu ruler of Shatataraka with Shani ruler of Kumbha, Dr. Jung's data (bhava-2 Meena subconscious history) whilst exotic and boundary-leaping is also scientifically researched and presented with a theoretically sound narrative.

Zukra + Budha = 2 wives

Carl G. Jung's wife Emma remained legally married to her husband for more than 50 years, raising their five children and numerous grandchildren while accommodating Jung's extramarital affairs.

Zukra vidyapathi-5 and karmesha-10 represents an intelligent and respected wife-1. 7th-from-Chandra-3 being bhava-9 suggests that wife-1 was philosophically and theoretically inclined; however Professor Guru-the-Multiplier located in 7th-from-Chandra confirms two wives in the life narrative.

Sexual-conversational Budha represents wife-2 who appears in the guise of a student or apprentice (Budha) and who plays the role of the younger sister.

In cultures where a man may permissibly marry two sisters, this is a common pattern. In Jung's home culture, it was scandalous but not unheard of. In fact, Jung's one-time mentor Totem and Taboo 1856-1939 neurologist Sigmund Freud also conducted a lifelong affair with his wife's younger sister while maintaining the respectable facade of a lifelong marriage to his legal wife the elder sister.

The spousal tolerance is displayed via conversational and sibling-like Zukra-yuti-Budha Mithuna-5 = several long term secondary mates, including a psychotherapeutic assistant who lived conjugally with Jung for 24 years.

Jung quit both International Psychoanalytical Association and the International General Medical Society for Psychotherapy at inopportune junctures.

  • At leaving-time, he was deeply committed to advancing and establishing the professional legitimacy of psychotherapy and specifically psychiatry; abandoning these associations was a costly move.

  • However Jung quit these important groups due to his perception that they were not legitimate . The resignations were caused by his opposition to ophthalmologist 's theory and practice as a leading factor and to the many evils of Nazism as a secondary factor.

Jung was a remarkable writer * arudha lagna Chandra-3-Mesha * who was able to advance the academic and medical mission of both psychiatry and psychology via extensive correspondence (3) and many scholarly discourse conferences (Guru-9). Vriddhipathi-11 Guru-9 provided him with a substantial income to support his endeavors as well as a large and well-connected network of relationships (Vriddhipathi-11 Guru-Thula relationships in 11th-from-11th Thula-9).

Even more impressive, he networked successfully and continued to gain linkage within the new sciences of medical psychiatry and therapeutic depth-psychology throughout the extremely turbulent years of WW-1 and WW-2.

The mutual drishti of Shani and Mangala, two fiercely unyielding graha may be assigned the honor of Jung's persistence and ultimate success against an often hostile environment: Shani-1-Kumbha a pillar of social-scientific structure and Mangala-10-Vrizchika a driven explorer of unknown and frightening territories.
