" The reason you do not remember all of your lifetimes is to maintain the integrity of this E-motional experience. (Pauses) All of it is happening Now.

So this enlightenment that you are all chasing after, you are already Grand, Enlightened Masters.

You already exist in every dimension of reality unto the Void of Creation itself, all of the pasts and all of the futures, hmm?

All of it Now!"

Hello Barbara,

It has been a great pleasure to study your website with Jyotish really explained unlike on any other resources I've come across.

Have you ever encountered people asking readings that claim they remember past live(s) in non-human world?

I have strong imprints from my past non-human lives, and it's curious for me if Jyotish is only applicable to humans and this planet, or does it work elsewhere?

It would seem to me Jyotish is not applicable to the world I was at, as all beings there were virtually identical like the hive of bees or the ants, albeit having as high intelligence and technology as to be able flying in space so not directly comparable to insects, Yet, the best comparison I can make for the lack of better example is to compare with insects on this planet.

The civilization mentioned above has a concept of I = Others. So literally we were considering all of others (within our race) as Oneself,"I" everywhere. It's very hard to live in this world where such concept is not in place.

I would like to see the relationships between these realities, and learn to track my changes from life to life.

Namaste,

It is an interesting question as to whether Jyotisha principles continue to apply throughout the Earth's solar system * Ra * or perhaps throughout our immediate galaxy.

Jyotisha perhaps with some adaptations would continue to work predictively from most locations within Earth's solar system * Ra.

However outside this magnetic zone -- for example in other humanoid civilizations that we know such as Sirius, orion, etc. -- my guess is (and this is * only * a guess) they have their own set of Jyotisha-style interpretive principles which track the pattern of relationships between their seed-beliefs and their tangible outcomes, however 'tangible' might be defined in their working environments.

It is likely that there is always some sort of cause-effect relationship in every dimension of experience, thus there is likely some species of principled predictive system in all dimensions. However, this is hypothesis only.

Upon enquiry it can be discerned that while one can detect infinite numbers of"other" lives being sequenced in parallel universes, it is of limited benefit to refer to"past" lives. These"past" lives are simply other lives; they are not"past" or"future" . While they have other narratives enacted in other environments, they are all fundamentally expressions of Oneself.

To appreciate how this can be so, it is essential to comprehend the existence of the Overself (or similar nomenclature) which is as it were the"supercomputer server" self that generates and distributes infinite discreet"client"applications (lifetimes).

Therefore your non-individuated humanoid-insectoid incarnation is one of the 'clients' or"puppets " of your Overself, and the earth-Maya culture incarnation is another client, the present humanoid incarnation is another, and so on. Each Overself can generate countless numbers of lifetimes.

In fact, charts really don't"change from life to life" .

All the lives are happening concurrently in a networked relationship to each other. The more conscious a"puppet" becomes, the more that"puppet" (you, or me) may gain awareness of what is happening within parallel expressions of that puppet's Overself which are occurring in other dimensions, in other worlds.

When Earthling-puppet consciousness first starts to emerge, it may be easiest to recall other lifetimes in Earth environments because those Earth-based other lives are exhibiting in a familiar context.

However, as the consciousness expands, the puppet may become aware of perceptions contextualized in non-Earth environments.

Many Earth-puppets are able to achieve the perception of one's own operation in other worlds while engaged in a state of pineal meditation.

All of the expressions of the Overself are designed to develop the consciousness of the Overself by having the maximum diversity of experiences.

Unless you wish to pursue a lifetime of hermetic system studies, don't worry about matching the structures of these lifetimes to each other by using Jyotisha or any other matching system.

Humans are not yet ready to possess this type of matching overview.

Focus on learning what you came here to learn.

The lessons we come to learn in the School of Earth must all be learned via interaction with other beings . We become individuated on Earth using Free Will, in order to learn to see the presence of Source (Divinity) in the other individuals - whether those individual be human-people, beast-people, plant-people, stone-people etc.

The main lesson of all lifetimes is "can you perceive the joyful presence of the Divine in this environment?" Whether one has incarnated within the body-mind complex of a reptoid-human, insectoid-human, avian-human, cetacean, canine, feline or other species that is genetically appropriate to one's unique personal consciousness, all lifetimes serve one purpose only which is to bring delight to the Highest Source, as it revels in the ecstasy of its own creation.

So, while in the Earth bubble, it is much more pragmatic to focus one's attentions upon one's relationship to the other humans - and not worry too much about the relationship of the various worlds to each other, at least until the consciousness has evolved a bit more.

To see a map of your School of Earth curriculum, study the Jyotishavidya nativity

for the present incarnation.

Wishing you every happiness and success in your studies of the samayavidya,

Sincerely, barbara Pijan Lama, Jyotishavidya

amsha-12 [intuition, private spiritual guidance]

amsha-2 [memory, stored knowledge]

Use dhana bhava-2 as the baseline lagna from which to measure the "immediate" parallel life .

For example,

  • Childhood home and foundational education of the present lifetime = bhava-4 + the defensive, culturally-rooted, seasonal-calendar, routinized, patriotic, ethno-nationalistic, comfort-seeking, home-loving, foundational, property-owning 4th-from-Chandra.
  • Childhood home and foundational education of the immediate parallel life (in so far as memories are stored linearly) can be known via present-life bhava-5 + 4th-from- [2nd-from-Chandra] .

marriage conditions in the present lifetime = bhava-7 + 7th from Chandra

marriage condition in the immediately previous lifetime = bhava-8 + 7th-from- [2nd-from-Chandra]

~~ Padma Purana , 4.41

" Those sensible (wise) people who follow the path purified by non-violence, they only go up (go to the higher regions).

Others either join the animal kingdom or repair to the nether regions."

from The Dalai Lama at Harvard: Lectures on the Buddhist Path to Peace

by H.H. Dalai Lama of Tibet, tenzin Gyatso, translated and edited by Jeffrey Hopkins, p.42

" The quality of one's rebirth in the next life is determined by the quality of one's mental activity in this life. Generally speaking, we have no power to choose how we are born; it is dependent on karmic forces.

However, the period near the time of death is very influential in terms of activating one from among the many karmas that a person has already accumulated, and, therefore, if one makes particular effort at generating a virtuous attitude at that time, there is an opportunity to strengthen and activate a virtuous karma.

Moreover, when one has developed high realization and has gained control over how one may be reborn, it is possible to take what is called"reincarnation" rather than mere rebirth."

Remembering parallel lives

14th Dalai Lama 1935- Policy of Kindness Tenzing Gyatso,

Consciousness at the Crossroads: Conversations with the Dalai Lama on Brain Science and Buddhism,

ed. Zara Houshmand, r.B. Livingston, and B. A. Wallace

" Ordinarily, it is difficult to remember one's parallel life . Such recollections seem to be more vivid when the child is very young, such as two or three, and in some cases even younger. ...

  • When the present body is fully formed, the ability to recall parallel life seems to diminish. The mental associations with this life become increasingly dominant.

There is a close relationship during the first few years of one's life with the continuum of consciousness from the previous life.

But as experiences of this life become more developed and elaborate, they dominate.

  • It is also possible within this lifetime to enhance the power of the mind, enabling one to re-access memories from previous lives. Such recollection tends to be more accessible during meditative experiences in the dream state.

Once one has accessed memories of previous lives in the dream state, one gradually recalls them in the waking state. "

Across-Lifetimes "Portability" of Spiritual Fruits

Practicing Wisdom: The Perfection of Shantideva's Bodhisattva Way

by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, translated and edited by Geshe Thupten Jinpa

" ...people have qualities, such as athletic prowess, that are entirely contingent upon the body. There is a limit to how much we can enhance this capacity--it is not limitless.

For example, regardless of how talented an athlete may be, he or she can only jump so much. Furthermore, these qualities endure only as long as the physical conditions remain intact. They cannot be carried over into the next life.

  • The continuum of the mind, however, does carry on.
  • Therefore, aquality based on the mind is more enduring.

So, through training the mind, qualities such as compassion, love, and the wisdom realizing emptiness can be developed. Through familiarization these qualities can be developed to their highest potentials.

Although initially it may require a good deal of effort, Once you get beyond a certain point, the development becomes spontaneous, naatural, and self-sustaining.

There is no need for further effort. This is why we can say that these qualities can be developed infinitely.

If we interrupt our athletic training, we will have to go through the whole training procedure again to bring our skill back to its previous level. However, once we have developed a quality of the mind to a level of spontaneity, although we may leave it aside for a long time, aslight application will bring it back to the prior level.

The difference between the two qualities is due to the difference of their bases, mental and physical.

In this way, the development of the mind through successive lifetimes is understood.

Even if you do not make much headway in this lifetime, because the qualities acquired in the mind will be retained, these predispositions can be activated in the future."

Stages of Meditation

by the Dalai Lama, root text by Kamalashila,

translated by Geshe Lobsang Jordhen, Losang Choephel Ganchenpa, and Jeremy Russell

" Knowing or understanding is the function of consciousness.... That which possesses the function of knowing is consciousness.

Consciousnesses vary in the scope of their knowledge and in their intensity or sharpness.

An obvious example is the consciousness of a human being, compared to an animal's consciousness.

  • The human being's perception is much broader and it understands a much greater variety of objects.
  • The consciousnesses of human beings vary with education and experience -- the more educated you are and the more experience you have, the broader your consciousness.

Knowledge and understanding develop on the basis of a consciousness that has the ability to perceive its objects.

When the necessary conditions are met, the mind's ability to perceive increases, the scope of its objects of knowledge expands, and understanding deepens. In this way the mind can develop its full potential.

Although initially it may require a good deal of effort, omniscience is the full consummation, or perfection, of the mind's ability to perceive objects."

Make Sure to Get a Favorable Rebirth

This freedom is actually within reach. ~~~Practicing Wisdom: The Perfection of Shantideva's Bodhisattva Way. Tenzing Gyatso, translated and edited by Geshe Thupten Jinpa

" In his Four Hundred Verses on the Middle Way, aryadeva presents a specific procedure for proceeding on the path to enlightenment.

This suggests that it is important to pursue the path in a systematic order, beginning by refraining from negative actions and maintaining an ethically sound way of life.

This is to ensure the Attainment of a favorable rebirth so that we will be able to continue to pursue our spiritual path in the future.

Aryadeva states that the first phase of the path is to avert the effects of negative and troublesome states of mind as they manifest in our behavior, because this safeguards us against taking unfavorable rebirth in the next life.

In the next phase, the emphasis is placed on generating insight into the nature of no-self or emptiness .

The final phase of the path is the Total elimination of all distorted views and theovercoming of even the most subtle obstructions to knowledger.

It is on the basis of understanding the four noble truths hat we will be able to develop a real understanding of the nature of the Three Jewels of Buddha, dharma, and Sangha.

Through deeply understanding the four noble truths, we will be able to genuinely recognize the possibility of attaining nirvana, or true liberation.

When we understand that our afflicted and negative states of mind can be removed, we will then be able to recognize the real possibility of attaining true liberation -- not just in general, but in relation to one's own self.

We will sense, as individuals, that This freedom is actually within reach through our own realization.

Once we gain such conviction, we will understand that we can also overcome the habitual patterns formed by our deluded states of mind.

In this way we generate a conviction in the possibility of attaining full enlightenment.

And once we develop such a conviction, we will then be able to appreciate The true value of taking refuge in the Buddha, dharma, and Sangha."

Developing the Wish to Give

~~ Generous Wisdom : Commentaries by H.H. Dalai LamaXIV on the Jatakamala Garland of Birth Stories,Dudjom Rinpoche (Ed.); Tenzin Dorjee (Trans.) 1992

Preceding story: Before reaching enlightenment, the Buddha was born as Prince Vishvantara, who, despite facing many challenges and adversity, brought all of his heart and courage to bear against a single enemy -- human suffering.

" In giving, we not only find wealth while in cyclic existence, but we achieve the zenith of prosperity in supreme enlightenment.

Therefore we all have to practice giving.

Bodhisattva's giving is not just overcoming miserliness and being generous to others; Apure wish to give is cultivated , and through developing more and more intimacy with it, such giving is enhanced infinitely.

Therefore, it is essential to have the firm mind of enlightenment rooted in great love and compassion and, from the depths of one's heart, to either

  • give one's body, wealth and virtues literally to sentient beings as infinite as space,
  • Or to dedicate one's body, wealth and virtues for them while striving in all possible ways to enhance the wish to give infinitely.

As mentioned in Engaging in Bodhisattva Activities and in The Precious Garland, we should literally give material help to the poor and needy, give teaching to others, and give protection to them, even the small insects, as much as we can.

In the case of things which we are not able to part with, we should cultivate the wish to give them away and develop more and more intimacy with that wish."
