BPL commentary

For Hasta births of a masculine valence, the condition of reflective, sheltering, undulating, rhythmic, routinized, culturally rooted, boundary-defending, security-seeking, nourishing, parental, matrikaraka Chandra may considerably affect the outcome.

For those born into the Soma-ruled paradigm of Pundarikaksa, mother-figures, protectors, guardians, elemental spirits, natural environments, waters, roots, eggs, gardeners, farmers, fisher-folk, caretakers, foundation-builders, police, schoolteachers, parents, providers of nourishment , and defenders of the root culture, may be especially influential.

Instructional guidance provided by emissaries from the civilizations of Corvus. Their purpose= making secure nests to soothe, protect, and nourish the workers.

Careful handling

Savitra-born fellows are often found in handcraft trades, home-building and real-estate, in caretaking and protective roles, or in specialties of nourishment, sheltering, schoolteaching, policing, or local safety. Their purpose is supporting the local welfare. Typically masculine births in Hasta indicate a comfortable, grounded focus into the home realms including parenting, gardening, and environmental care.

All four pada occur within Kanya rashi. Athram-born express the tension between the handy busy-ness of mental, commercial Budha versus the emotionally based, calming routines of non-verbal Chandra.

Known for their skillful handwork, Hasta are found in service professions where daily communications and family-style conversations are engaged in a routine of protective, sustaining care.

Hasta chaps are socially reliable and available emotionally due to Chandra influence. This nice combination wins them many friends and long-term business customers. Hasta are specialists in customer care. Once they have established a relationship whether personal or professional, the Athram-born values consistency and loyalty.

Generally not risk-takers unless Rahu is prominent in the nativity. Hasta fellows tend to be engaged parents, restaurateurs, home builders, social workers, home health nurses, protection officers, schoolteachers, and supervisors of caretaking operations. Although their own family usually comes first, Hasta are concerned with the well-being of their complete natural and social environment.

Themes of manufacturing and handcraft, local business, housing and shelter, nourishment, and protective service may contextualize Hasta's terrestrial experience. Applies also to Chandra in Hasta-Savitra

QUOTATION from Shil-Ponde. (1939). Hindu Astrology Joytisha-Shastra .p 83

"...clever, witty, and entertaining.

They like social contacts

  • and are particularly fond of the company of the opposite sex.

When in trouble, go to a Hasta person;

but do not try to pull the wool over their eyes,

  • as they are extremely clever

  • and will see through any deceit

they are very likable and are good company,

  • but never very attractive physically ."

Earliest known photo (daguerreotype) of Abraham Lincoln c. 1847, preparing to enter his first term in USA Congress, AL age 38

according to the collective Ra, the version of AL who assumed the crucial POTUS responsibilities was a walk-in from 4th density who assumed control of abandoned Lincoln's body-complex. FRUSTRATING FATHER

Dad = a land speculator of fluctuating fortunes (Surya speculation) with big ideas, whose visions of grandeur occurred mainly in dad's imagination (Surya rules 12).

AL recounted that Dad was unforgivingly harsh Surya in bhava-6 and economically minded always. Surya-Kumbha

Dad was said to have been harsh and dominating toward everyone, including his son

  • Chandra in 12th from Surya = dissolution of father's empathy.

  • Surya rules 12 imagination, invisibility, Other Worlds

AL remarked that his father could be a predatory bully; and had it not been for the gentle and generous ministrations of his father's second wife (2nd-from-Surya = Guru-yuti-Zukra-uttama) there might have been worse consequences.

Dad was willing (Surya) to harass and exploit his son.

  • Recollections of those who knew Abe (notably from the Herdon Collection) recall that
  • dad did not like Abe
  • shouted at Abe
  • thought Abe was lazy because Abe was always reading.
  • In addition to Abe's expected daily toil on his home farm.,
  • Dad regularly sent Abe to work as a servant on other farms.
  • Dad kept the money earned.

Surya-yuti-Budha = Budha lagnesha + karmesha, suggesting that both dad and Abe would be capable of making executive decisions.

Dad's emotional volatility = Surya in bhava-6 rules the emotionally catastrophic, sudden-transformations 8th-from-Chandra = Simha-12..

AL's father experienced many upheavals including widowhood (8) and disastrous financial loss from opportunistic land speculation gone wrong

  • Dad spent much of his life fighting legal battles (6) over land-ownership deeds of title
  • which were often found to be forgeries, purchases claimed but never paid, fraudulent transactions, or documents improperly written (Budha) *
  • Occasionally dad also had windfall profits in the wild-west land-grab marketplace (Kumbha) but these were far-between and short-lived.

Dad was pragmatic but not always honest.

Surya's charismatic authority is weakened in Shani-ruled Kumbha. Surya in Kuja-ruled Dhaniztha nakshatra can indicate a dominating bully, Surya-Kumbha = reputed for a reduced concern with personal integrity (such as the honesty underlying a promise).

SURYA - CAREER

Surya receives drishti from Justice-Seeking Rahu = Kuja-yuti-Rahu Thula-2 = empowered to initiate a Great Change in conditions of servitude (6)

Eruptive circumstances for father and son. Surya rules 10th dazamamsha containing Budha = political speeches

AL was hardworking and often ill = Shani-3 + Kuja-2 drishti upon Chandra-5

Comforting Chandra rules 11-gains, community, mass-movements, social networks

The preponderance of the Civil War and the abolition of slavery often overshadows the substantial work that AL performed toward modernizing the USA economy (11) specifically via improving transportation (Karkata).

Lincoln made several important improvement to the overall national economic and transportation systems. Although many POTUS must struggle against an obstructionist Congress, for Lincoln there was very little friction. Congress essentially gave him the economic programs that he asked for.

  • Yet even through many separations and disagreements, MTL remained fiercely loyal to her marriage + protective of her husband (Karkata)

MTL 's Chandra in Arudra-Orion-8 sits precisely on AL's Svamsha-lagna-Arudra. Furthermore, MTL's Chandra-Mithunaya occupies AL's karmasthana = elite authority.

  • The pair were shared a physical, sensual, and ambitious lifestyle.

Less compatibly, MTL's wild Arudra-Chandra occupies the incompatible 6/8 from AL's cautious Sravana-Chandra.

  • the pair also shared physical conflict (petite Mary hitting six-footer AL, but AL never hit back) +++ financial mismatch (AL's frugality vs. Mary's luxury) ++ MTL often mistreated servants (then AL would pay or make amends)

  • His attitude was tolerant (Guru) and contractual (Zukra).

MTL's mental health

Despite MTL's unswerving dedication to her husband's career, she suffered episodes of severe depression and wild elation.

  • Impulsive outbursts punctuated her normally cheerful demeanor.
  • When plump, petite MTL pummeled her tall, lanky husband, AL's Whitehouse colleagues were said to have asked him why he did not have Mary contained.
  • AL responded that she had helped him, and he would not hurt her.

MTL's Loyalty + her key role in AL's career

  • MTL's Chandra matches AL's Svamsha + karmasthana, showing her key role in AL's career.!
  • When Chandra rules 7th-from-Chandra the couple are so allied emotionally that their bond survives most complexities and stresses.
  • Regardless of significant marital polarizing catalysis, MTL supported AL publically until his death and she spoke glowingly of him until her own decease.
  • In public, the couple spoke appreciatively of each other's merits
  • they shared the one salient goal of AL's POTUS win.
  • MTL's businessman father wished to promote Abe as a regional-to-national politician.
  • Mary is said to have worked assiduously in support of AL for the sake of her marriage but also to please her father
  • Although her widow's pension might have been attractive to a potential second husband, MTL never remarried .

  • Yet, his public addresses to the citizens, to the Civil War Troops, and to member of Congress were so compelling that they covered in detail by the newspaper media
  • His rhythmic collocative vocabulary (3 phrases) became standard references in American political discourse.

Kuja-yuti-Rahu drishti to Chandra * compelling, urgent, direct, rhythmic speeches

AL said that his mother (Chandra-rhythm) home-schooled him using the only available text, the King James English Bible. AL repeated the classic and familiar KJV prosody. He internalized the rhythms (Chandra) of 1600's English litany.

  • Following the walk-in which opened a higher consciousness, when Lincoln came to speak to the entire nation (and its enemies) he spoke with a deeply familiar cadence.
  • Lincoln's speeches are still studied in US schools and colleges, more than 150 years after he spoke them.

Liquor Meena-Zukra

AL was a licensed bartender. He was co-owner of the short-lived business named Berry and Lincoln, a saloon in Springfield, Illinois.

  • Later in dealing with the alcoholic US Grant, AL was nonplussed by Grant's addiction.
  • As a former saloon-keeper who had seen more than his fair share of drunk farmers, AL likely understood that Grant was a high functioning addict.

Wife-figure

kalatra-karaka Zukra = yogakaraka from Chandra-Makara-Draco

In a husband's nativity, uttama Meena-Zukra + svakshetra Guru would suggest a wife who was delightfully pretty, plump, and wealthy.

  • Mary Todd Lincoln hailed from an affluent social background.
  • She sang, played musical instruments, held all-night dancing parties, and gave lavish dinners.
  • Her home parlor (Zukra in 3rd-from-Chandra, parlor) became a welcoming place for political discussions + conversations among AL's constituents
  • MTL was gifted in parlor-talk, salon management .
  • People from all stations of life remembered that Mary had treated them nicely.
  • MTL's extravagant entertainments focused on Zukra and Guru abundance = food, liquors, dancing, and music along with 3-conversation.
  • Her door was always open to guests .
  • While never veering into open immorality, lush offerings of her time and attention did saliently benefit her husband's dramatic ascent from hard-scrabble rural lawyer to socially elite elevated POTUS-16.

MTL's many troubles

Generous Guru rules Dhanuzya-4 = 6th-from-7th-from-Chandra, showing MTL's multiple imbalances.

  • Guru-yuti-Zukra indicates MTL's dramatic impulsive luxury shopping addiction
  • MTL suffered from severe migraine headaches.
  • When ill, MTL felt most comfortable with Abe who had plenty of his own health miseries, including depression.

Retrospectively, historical scholars now estimate MTL to have suffered from borderline personality disorder (due to trauma og abandonment by her deceased mother and rejection by the stepmother).

  • Eventually MTL's mental health (3) outbursts and spending sprees became a Whitehouse concern.
  • Lincoln's advisers wanted to restrain her but AL would not allow Mary to be mistreated.

Kuja-yuti-Rahu--2 resides in emotionally-motivated leadership = 10th-from-Chandra

  • The rough, gaunt, rural-mannered, self-taught attorney Lincoln was a very unlikely dark horse candidate for POTUS-16
  • Yet, the nation was desperate for a bold opportunistic (Rahu) personality who could bring agreement between the bitterly warring North and South factions.

Thula the Bargainer pays the price

Lincoln remains one of the most beloved USA presidents because his Kuja-yuti-Rahu empowerment brought an end to the terrible brother-against-brother fighting of the Civil War.

  • Massive casualties and widespread carnage had become the new normal.
  • Hatred, bitterness, and despair filled the land.
  • POTUS-18 Civil War 1822-1885 Ulysses S. Grant had a Visaka tolerance for extreme killing.

  • Grant's Thula lagna matches Lincoln's Thula Kuja-yuti-Rahu
  • Having paid the horrible price in blood of brothers and brought the war to a close, Lincoln got the all-clear exit permission.

Walk-In's Welcome

According to the social-memory complex resonating to the syllable known as Ra http://www.llresearch.org, POTUS-16 was a psychic walk-in.

Arising to the top of the new Republican Party, seemingly out of the ethers of the Illinois wilderness

the persona of Lincoln produced a wave of surprising wisdom (Guru) and prosodic grace that overwhelmingly, positively, dramatically appealed greatly to an exhausted, demoralized, war-weary electorate.

By the beginning of Shani Mahadasha, the extreme makeover was complete.

Guru-Mangala bhukti 1853 * Kuja rules 8-identity transformation

1853 according to Ra, this year featured a walk-in from 4th density who assumed control of Lincoln's body-complex * Guru-Ketu bhukti

Ra reports that Lincoln was suffering from a debilitating illness, along with mental disorientation, depression, and marital conflict.

  • He was ready to abandon his life (Ketu).
  • Psychically, he asked for permission to exit the incarnation.
  • This permission was granted on the condition that he would permit his fleshbody to complete its allocated lifespan of 56 years..

Repeating the denouement experienced 10,000 years previous in the Atlantean civilization, a collective social decision about slaveryry was imminent. This decision would be finalized via one of the most gruesome wars of human history. This decision would be emblazoned upon public memory for centuries.

In cooperation with this momentous agenda, before beginning his dark-horse campaign for POTUS-16, Mr. Lincoln's original personality exited his fleshbody and, by spiritual agreement, a specifically purposed replacement personality entered. The replacement personality was indeed an extension of his original self, but with more energy, more vision, and more guidance.

The obscure Congressmember from Illinois, Abraham Lincoln, had no widely recognized political identity.

Hence, it was relatively easy for the incoming spirit to transform the persona of a stuttering rural horseback-lawyer into an eloquent literature-quoting public orator.

  • Not every element of the replacement was perfectly tuned.
  • For example, Lincoln (who likely had chronic thyroid disease) was said to have spoken with a reedy, high-pitched voice which belied his long-legged tall frame

That certainly was a sudden change.

The assassination of Abraham Lincoln took place at the appointed time of exit.

  • Immediately following the extreme bitterness and hatred of the American Civil War, his violent death at the hands of a slavery-supporter marked the final pinnacle of national grief.
  • At the point of Lincoln's highly symbolic death, the land was totally saturated with sorrow. There could be no more fighting.
  • The grief of a nation had finally overpowered its anger.

Although the Agents of Orion were not pleased, Lincoln's dematerialization effectively ended the post-Atlantean (American) debate about institutionally legalized slavery.

Recent medical research gives some credence to Ra's claim about Lincoln's suicidal despair. It is now understood that, during AL's era in history, the conditions of his genetically caused illness would have very likely resulted in a lifespan ending approximately at the time of the political assassination (AL age 56).

Feminine Nativities

Visaka * Radha

BPL commentary

For Visaka births of a feminine valence, the condition of prosperous, preaching, inclusive, broad-scope, philosophical, humanistic Brihaspati may considerably affect the outcome.

Due to the definitive influence of dhava-karaka Guru, ladies born in Puna, Visaka, or Purvabhadra may find that their worldview is greatly shaped by the character of the masculine companion.

For those born into the Guru-ruled paradigm of Radhika, teachers, preachers, professors, patrons, agents of generosity and guidance, guru-figures, ideologues, indoctrinators, theorists, know-it-alls, proselytes, philosophers, pontificators, patriarchs, pundits, pater-nosters, proponents of principled understanding, wise-ones, wizards, druids, and paradigms of belief may be especially influential.

Guided by patrons from the civilizations of Saka. Their purpose is facilitation of shocking insights by lightning-strike and expansive growth by root-splitting..

High forehead. Saptarishi-ruled births come equipped with a global perspective. The majority of Visaka nativities are higher dimensional Seva-wanderers who assume interpretive guidance roles.

Growth Shocks

Thula - Vanika pada 1-2-3 expresses Saptarishi's rulership of 3-Writing-commerce + 6-service ministry or victimhood. Pada 1-2-3 also evoke the tension between Zukra's one-to-one relationships versus Guru's one-to-many preachings. Pada 1-2-3 may be experts on the subject of relationships, both seen and unseen. They have a broad understanding of the power of polarities. They are often found in advising and recommending roles (Zukra) which engage ideology or theory (Guru) such as psychotherapy, university teaching, policy consultant, or political lobby.

Although the husband is globally minded, for Thula-Visaka, the husband may also be impoverished or ailing (due to Guru rules 3-6 from Thula).

Vrischika Pada-4 emphasizes Guru's rulership of 2-treasury, collections ++ 5-creativity, entitlement, politics. Pada 4 enjoys the spirited compatibility between Guru's optimism + Kuja's kinetic action. Their husbands are charming, speculative, and affluent. Pada-4 has a broad understanding of the ultimate power of transformative beliefs. Pada-4 ladies are often found in teaching and healing work, especially when using their expertise with the sexual-reproductive energies.

Themes of shocking growth via beliefs, widening expansion via root-splitting, and fertilization via jolts of electromagnetic Shakti may contextualize Visaka's terrestrial experience. Applies also to Chandra in Visaka-Radha

Mary Ann Todd Lincoln was said to have had an eccentric fashion sense, developed in coordination with her personal seamstress

Biographical Details matched to the Vimshottari Dasha Calendar

POTUS-pair-16 Illinois 1818-1882 Mary Todd Lincoln a suffered the death of her mother at age 8, followed by her wealthy father's quick remarriage to a hostile stepmother and the arrival of nine further children. MTL's childhood experience from age 8 until adulthood ranged from parental negligence (Ketu-4) to overt mistreatment (Surya-6 ruling Rahu-2 indicates a verbally abusive father). Yet, there was social grace, education, and the wealth of town-life which contrasted to the often dire poverty and illiteracy of the surrounding pioneer farmers. MTL bonded with an elder sister which somewhat relieved the home stress. (Ketu-4 allows MTL to abandon the childhood home). But Zukra-6 bandesha indicates ongoing conflict despite the trappings of material luxury.

And she famously convinced some of her well-placed friends to arrange her release.

Their mother-son relationship never stopped, but Robert developed the same highly complex approach toward Mary that her father had pursued.

FATHER

Dad = Robert Smith Todd = a banker Surya in bhava-2.

Dad was well-capitalized planter and a substantial land-owner in slave-state Kentucky = was also a shopkeeper (Surya rules 3-business) and Whig politician in the frontier town of Lexington, Kentucky.

Dad and Mary had a complex, multi-faceted relationship. Her dad was a critically important supporter of Mary and Mary in turn was a critically important supporter of her husband's political career.

Surya-yuti-Budha associates MTL's identity (Budha lagnesha) and career with her dad while Surya-yuti-Guru associates MTL's housing, education, and advisor relationship with her dad.

Robert Smith Todd was a financier and trained lawyer with a gambler's interest in politics (a local kingmaker). Her father was a trained lawyer who passed the Kentucky bar exam, but he never practiced law professionally. Guru rules 7-law

MTL was a top student in all subjects, especially writing (Budha). She managed a large household + an extensive social network while expressing her own ideological convictions with articulate aplomb. Her father's funding combined with her educated graces and extravagant entertaining made possible her husband's remarkable ascent from Illinois frontier judge to POTUS-16.

Dad funds Abe's political career

MTL's Zukra-yuti-Budha + Surya-yuti-Guru-7 show her dad as a local political booster and kingmaker with strong and contradictory ideological opinions (Dhanuzya). He was accused of hypocrisy due to promoting anti-slavery beliefs while owning numerous household slaves. Three of his sons fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War.

Dad's wealth and connections funded MTL's extravagant entertaining and laid the foundation for AL's ascent from state legislator to USA Congress to POTUS. In AL's nativity, MTL's dad is seen via 9th-from-7th-from-Chandra = Zukra-Guru-Meena-9 = patronage.

Dad was prolific * Surya-yuti-Guru

In 1825 when Mary was six year old, her mother died after a final childbirth. Afterwards, Mary maintained a deep attachment to her elder sister, but her stepmother was said to have been cruel. Her father did not support MTL's appeal for better treatment, but sided with his second wife, who bore him nine further children (bringing the father's children to a total of 14).

He was known to have many social liaisons, and was called an absentee father, rarely at home despite having 14 children from two marriages

Father's - and MTL's - Contradictory beliefs

He was a complex and contradictory man who held hypocritical opinions with impunity (Surya-Mula), as represented by Surya-Mula combining with Guru-Budha-Zukra. Like her dad, Mary Lincoln was known for her confident and sometimes complex political opinions.

Her father was a vigorous opponent of the slavery culture of Kentucky, which was a cotton and tobacco plantation state . Her father also owned numerous household slaves.

Surya-yuti-Zukra associates MTL's financial treasuries and worldview with her dad.

MTL's husband Abraham Lincoln earned relatively little via his job as a judicial circuit rider. MTL's father quietly contributed lands and monies into MTL's accounts so that she could enjoy the more luxurious lifestyle into which she had been raised.

Health * Mental and Physical

Mary was ill throughout life, suffering unexplained fevers and migraine headaches. Mary may have had Borderline Personality Disorder due to the abandonment trauma of her mother's early death and her father's remarriage to a cruel step-mother. Mary was known to physically assault Abe, but he he Generally, ignored her tirades. Apparently her episodes were very regularly calendared (likely hormonal)and since he stood a foot taller than her, he quietly tolerated her attacks.

MTL's malaise was reportedly severe, involving migraine headaches, wild luxury-shopping binges, and skin afflictions. Yet, her (likely hormonal) health condition did not slow her furious support of her husband's career, nor in widowhood was she restrained in action. Her eldest son tried to have her imprisoned in an insane asylum, but she escaped with the help of influential friends.

Crazy Mary

  • After AL's assassination, the death of three of her four sons, and her father's death, MTL's binge spending soared out of control.
  • According to the law of the day, MTL's sole surviving son Robert was obliged to manage his mother's material affairs. Sensing a financial catastrophe as MTL's binge-buying threatened the estate created after his father's assassination (mainly by donations) Robert did have MTL legally committed to an insane asylum. But, she escaped

Chandra-1 (mind) receives drishti of rulers of nine bhava.

A complicated psycho-emotional setting = drishti into Chandra from Surya-Budha-Guru-Zukra +++Mangala-6

Mrs. Lincoln had severe health issues as did her husband. Her mood swings accompanied by migraine headaches were noticed even in childhood, following the tragic death of her mother (Chandra) and increasing steadily through adulthood, escalating into suicidal episodes and extreme behavior, with the tragic deaths of three of her sons and her husband's assassination.

Her miseries increased in middle age, with the stress of her husband's governance responsibilities during the Civil War and his murder occurring only months after he won a landslide, high-popularity re=election..

The glory and acclaim that she expected from her husband's post-war second-term crumbled into severe grief and political chaos as POTUS-17 Reconstruction 1808-1875 Andrew Johnson tried to un-do all of the abolition legislation for which both Mary and Abe had worked for a decade.

Some scholars assert that Mary Todd Lincoln suffered from Borderline Personality Disorder which is often distinguished by a contradictory behavior pattern = public-perfect-praiseworthy vs. private-harmful-violent. Although a superb social entertainer and a supportive partner in their two-person career, Mrs. Lincoln's behaviors (attested by her adult son and others) became highly problematic for her inner family. Symptoms included out-of-control binge-spending sprees on extravagant luxury items and violent screaming fits within the home

Notable traumatic events which affected MTL's mental state included the death of her mother (MTL's age 8), rejection and ostracizing by a hostile stepmother, an oft-absentee husband who had his own medical problems, and rapid-in-succession deaths of her husband and three of her four sons, along with other tragedies

Her stepmother was notoriously cruel toward Mary and her siblings. Borderline Personality Disorder is considered to originate in extreme fear of abandonment and is often linked to a death or rejection by a parent. This pattern has the capacity to experience psychotic episodes, and Mrs. Lincoln was remanded to asylum on this pretext.

Chandra in Punarvasu-Aditya is naturally generous and open-minded.

As a married couple they are exceptionally well-matched (his Makara-Dhaniztha ruled by Kuja ++ her Kanya-Chitra ruled by Kuja). Likely he accepted her ailments as small price to pay for her focused, direct, and loyal support

Whitehouse observers commented on MTL's physical beating of her husband. Mrs. Lincoln was mentally ill but physically strong, and Whitehouse observers commented that she would muscularly batter the hapless president when she was having an episode. However, his response was normally to avoid her by disappearing under camouflage of work duties.

Open-door policy * Arudra Chandra-10

Her taste for impulsive (Arudra) experience resulted in an open door policy at home. Mary welcomed visitors at all hours in their Springfield home, which severely stressed the domestic help but also built a body of supporters for her husband's career.

Her house was welcome to many of her husband's associates and her generous entertaining was a major engine of advancement for her husband's career. However, despite dramatic successes, MTL's open-house policy often broke the budget. However, even then her appreciative husband simply shook his head and carried on (knowing that her dad would soon refill the coffers).

MARRIAGE partnership support expectations

7th-from-Chandra-1 the plethora of graha in bhava-7 indicates numerous liaisons. Primarily, her husband was a lawyer (7). Guru as karmesha in 7 indicates her husband's aspiration for top leadership roles. The graha in 7 show MTL's ability to create a large number of supporting promises and allegiances to boost his profile.

Shata-taraka (Abe) + Arudra (Mary) alliance needs diversity and space.

Surya + Zukra + Budha + Guru occupy the emotionally motivated partnerships of 7th-from-Chandra. Not only Mary but also her husband maintained diverse relationships. Contemporaries observed that Mr. Lincoln preferred the homo-social companionship of gentlemen. Whenever MTL was not staying in the White House, AL returned to sleeping with his male companion

Her lawyer husband was known for his magnificent speeches (2). AL was certainly a complex man, as represented by the Guru-Zukra-Budha-Surya cluster that resides in her Dhanuzya-2 = 7th-from-MT:L's Arudra-Chandra-8. The political couple sustained a remarkable partnership that promoted them from rural obscurity into roles of lasting national fame. POTUS-16 Emancipation 1809-1865 Abraham Lincoln remains one of the most honored POTUS.

Euro-settlers on the frontier were often very sick and epidemics swept through frequently.

Mangala rules karakamsha bhava-6. Despite her many remarkable activities, Mary is best known for her diseases, both mental and physical, and especially for her attacks upon her spouse. Observers remarked that she regularly beat her stalwart husband. Being a very tall man and mainly passive in nature, and subject to severe depressions himself, Mr. Lincoln was said to have borne the crazed aggressions of his petite wife with little more than a grimace.

Mrs. Lincoln's lasting profile has been her publicly dramatized mental health challenges leading to asylum commitment by her own son. Mangala-6 drishti to 12 (asylum) + drishti to 1-energizes her own muscular vitality

She was also frequent victim of migraine headache and violent outbursts against her household staff and her family.

Like many in her generation, Mary was addicted to the commonly prescribed pain-killers of the day, which were primarily mixtures of opiates with alcohol. In particular, unknowing physicians of her era addicted her and millions like her to the compound called laudanum. These hapless drugs may have exacerbated her existing bipolar episodes.

MTL is believed to have suffered borderline personality disorder which results in a delightful facade of social grace presented to to outsiders while a regime of stress-triggered private violence is inflicted upon those inside the family, with a marked tendency to divide the family into flawless "good children" versus damned "bad children". As the disorder progresses, Typically, the husband joins the damned portion. By accounts of observers in her day, Mary Todd was mentally ill but muscularly strong (lKuja drishti to 1). Observers commented that she would physically batter the president when she was having an episode.

Bi-Polar Disorder? Borderline Personality Disorder? Retrospectively, Mrs. Lincoln is believed to have suffered from perhaps bipolar disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder, among other diagnostic possibilities.

Called "Crazy Mary" by her enemies (of which she had vicious ones) her struggle with mental illness and likely a laudanum addiction is fairly well documented. So is her alienated son's (Ketu in 5th-from-Chandra) attempts to staunch her erratic behaviors. Mary Todd Lincoln suffered from a financial (Zukra) spending disorder, associated with extreme mood swings. MTL's shopping binges focused on expensive purchases of luxury items such as jewelry and decorative finery (Zukra + Guru + Budha). Disease symptoms included extravagant over-budget binge-spending, wild screaming, aggressively beating her hapless husband (who was much larger but also much meeker), hallucinations, and attempted suicides (Ketu-7).

Budha represents her husband's careers as a shopkeeper and an attorney. Before his storied ascent to POTUS-16, Lincoln operated a number of businesses (Budha), including circuit-riding judge-attorney (Guru law, repeating law circuits) bartender (Zukra) shopkeeper (Budha) and writing of deeds, titles, and judgments (Budha).

Like her elder sister, Mary Todd was a well-funded (by her dad) legendary hostess. She famously participated in the political discourse of the day, offering her own ideological convictions (Dhanuzya) via ongoing home entertainments, collegial discussions, and enthusiastic exchange of views.

Mary Todd's Springfield Illinois home became the social center of the NW Territories, with pioneer politicians in attendance daily

Mary Todd Lincoln lived as a public figure for most of her adult life. She successfully completed most of her social duties, supporting her husband's political career and thus the American nation and thus the course of Western civilization.

however, she faced nearly constant complaints from her housekeepers and dressmakers, as well as from her husband's political associates and their wives. Amidst the terror of the Civil War, she was called a native Kentuckian who betrayed the South and a native Illinoisian whose slave-owning family disgraced the cause of the North.

In a pioneer territory that had been settled by Euro-planters for only a few decades, Mrs. Lincoln was considered a gracious and educated woman. But in the more established Euro-culture of Washington D.C., her countrified mannerisms were criticized and demeaned as hillbilly and gauche.

in later life she was locked into an insane asylum (12) her Guru-9 located in the escapist 12th-from-10th allowed Mary to be released under guidance (Guru) of private (12) arrangements (12th-from). However, her son spent considerable effort trying to re-institutionalize his mother because she was destroying the family fortunes.

Relationships

Mary Todd had a large Dhanuzya cluster in bhava-7 == 7th-from-Chandra == where the rulers of seven bhava can be found in the environment of arrangements and bargaining.

She lived a global-scale life (Dhanuzya) during her husband's Civil War presidency. Her relationship behavior was adjudged as both brilliant and horrible (mainly the latter due to bipolar promiscuity).

Mary Todd Lincoln was described as a plump, lovely, and vivacious woman. She hailed from a relatively wealthy (by frontier standards) Euro-settler Kentucky family. Observers of the era noted her relatively higher status and greater social sophistication compared to AL's more rustic and humble pioneer background. Her home-entertaining skills (Zukra-4) are said to have been enormously valuable in advancing the career of her socially awkward but politically ambitious husband.

The musical, luxury-loving Springfield Illinois hostess Mary Todd Lincoln was known for her parties and polite home-visiting schedule. Her graces provided social visibility and mobility for her husband's aspiring political career. Abraham Lincoln's nativity shows his luxury-loving, company-pleasing wife via his uttama-Zukra-yuti-Guru.

Following her extreme grief at the death of the third son (she had lost three of her four sons and her husband) MTL's life devolved into a state of pronounced mental illness. Her ailment was characterized by extreme luxury-goods spending sprees and suicidal episodes similar to modern bipolar disorder.

As her psycho-mental disorder, her pain-syndrome, and her addiction-related behaviors became more extreme, her sole surviving adult son became so distraught over her exorbitant spending that he had her institutionalized in an "insane asylum". (This was the only available treatment option in the era.)

Eventually she developed financially destructive wild spending sprees and other dangerous behaviors. During Zukra-Mahadasha, where Zukra-finance rules Ketu in 5th-from-Chandra, her eldest adult son (Ketu) had Mary committed to an insane asylum to prevent her from spending his entire estate.
