Henry Ford

born July 30, 1863 - died April 7, 1947

  • Automobile Manufacturer

  • Violently opposed to Unionized Labor

  • Social Philosopher and Moral Preacher

  • Philanthropist

"I adopted the theory of Reincarnation when I was twenty six.

Religion offered nothing to the point. Even work could not give me complete satisfaction.

  • Work is futile if we cannot utilise the experience we collect in one life in the next.
  • When I discovered Reincarnation it was as if I had found a universal plan.
  • I realised that there was a chance to work out my ideas.
  • Time was no longer limited. I was no longer a slave to the hands of the clock.

Genius is experience. Some seem to think that it is a gift or talent, but it is the fruit of long experience in many lives.

Some are older souls than others, and so they know more.

The discovery of Reincarnation put my mind at ease. If you preserve a record of this conversation, write it so that it puts men' s minds at ease. I would like to communicate to others the calmness that the long view of life gives to us ."

Excess of light blinds the eye. Excess of sound deafens the ear. Excess of condiments deadens the taste.

He who possesses moderation is lasting and enduring. Too much is always a curse, most of all in wealth.

Distinctive Features of the Nativity

Karakamsha = domain-2

  • Ford is most famous for his extraordinary entrepreneurial wealth

Despite his tremendous affinity for the working man (L-12 Chandra/Makara/6 = servant class ) Ford was famous for his violent opposition to organized labor unions in his automobile production factories.

  • He was perpetually afraid (12) of an international (12) labor rebellion along Marxist, Bolshevist, or other communist lines

  • He used espionage against the workers especially by planting "listeners" Shravana in washrooms, eating places, or places in town where workers socialized

  • expressed his hatred for unionized labor throughout his life.

  • This Chandra occupies the 6/8 from lagna and 6/8 from yogakaraka L-4/L-9 Kuja - serious internal conflict!

Neechcha Shukra = Wealth, Troubles with Women

  • Shukra = karaka for wealth; Shukra in 9th from Chandra in any rashi helps the material wealth; and in 2 with Guru, is astronomical

  • Ford was famously rumored to have fathered a child with his long-time personal secretary Evangeline Dahlinger, as elaborated in the book "The Secret Life of Henry Ford."

Simha Mangala in Lagna

  • Ford was reputed to be autocratic (Simha) overbearing, temperamental, dominating and aggressive.

  • He needed to have things just exactly as he personally wanted them.

  • When his conditions were met, he often generated a stunning success.

  • Mangala (sexual pursuit) in 8th-from-Chandra

  • Kuja in Simha 1 = an innovator, competitor, inventor, affinity for fire and metal, automotive engines, internal combustion engine

Mechanical engineering (Kuraja) of the internal combustion engine with application to vehicles

  • Mangala/Simha with personality-defining strength in lagna

  • Mangala = 6/8 from Chandra =emotional conflict via regal entitlement = aggression; tantrums

  • Mangaladrishti to domain-4, representing properties and vehicles.

  • Behari says, "A lucky planet for you. The urge for rambling in the foothills and forests is greatly accentuated. If you can control your impulsiveness, you will attain great heights in life."

  • Simha = high places where the Light shines brightly

Invention of new power source (Simha) for vehicles drawing on hidden energies:

  • Rahu in Vrischika a rashi of Kuja the inventor, in domain-4 for vehicles

  • Rahu (passion) drishti to the strong L-1 Surya in domain-12, imagination

Obsession with lowering costs, making automobiles reliable but cheap to be accessible to the masses:

Death of Son Edsel - May 1943

  • Budha/Guru period, Guru = L-8 sudden changes

  • Ford's notoriously apathetic social relationship to his son, who was publicly seen as simply a puppet or pawn of his father, is represented by Ketu in 5th-from-Chandra, with Ketu's lord = the neechcha Shukra.

  • On the material level, L-5 Guru gains great wealth in domain-2, but the son's personality is much oppressed with Shani in Kanya, domain-2.

  • Edsel was in charge of aesthetic design work (Shukra). Shukra's artistic talent becomes highly pragmatic, materialized, and (usually) publicly successful when Shukra combines with architectural Shani. Edsel was responsible for the design of the Model-T and other great styles.

Self-Death April 7, 1947

  • Budha/Shani period, Shani = L-7

Was Ford an anti-Semite (hater of Jews)? Judging from the Jyotisha nativity, Ford was not a racist or hater of any ethnic group. Rather, Ford bitterly resented banks and bankers (Shani+ neechcha Shukra/Kanya/2). He also carried a historic resentment against the privileged classes in his own society; he saw himself as a worker (Chandra/6) and identified strongly with the common man.

  • He had the same (paranoid) need to try to control (Ashlesha) international banking AND international organized labor.

  • Unfortunately, a good part of his immense creativity (lagnesha Surya) was consumed in paranoid control and manipulation behaviors (Ashlesha Surya in fantasy-12)

  • His method in approaching all difficulties was predictably uniform: to attack (Kuja strong in lagna) rather than to compromise.

His earliest farming experience and his parents' earliest struggles may have told him that financial power concentrated in too few hands was the source of the problem.

According to the Wikipedia article on Henry Ford, Ford famously advocated his understanding of reincarnation, which he said brought him much calm and fulfillment: (see top of this page).

"A perusal of astrological literature bearing up ''Wealth' reveals clearly that in order to become rich, one should have in his horoscope combinations which comprehend a point of contact between lords of Lagna, 2nd, 11th, 5th and 9th.

Permutations and combinations of these lords give rise to a stupendous number of Dhana Yogas"~~ B. V. Raman, 300 Important Combinations -- commenting on Madhya Vayasi Dhana Yoga
