Because psycho-emotional conditions form the precursor to physical conditions, on the material plane the Shani-ratna may help to alleviate some discomforts related to lack of movement:

|General advice regarding Jyotisha Remedial Gemstones|| |
when the gem has no effect, Seva will help
For all remedial gemstones, be sure to cleanse the stone energetically with extreme attention to proper mantra.
Flawless gems are expensive and hard to find.
Use only a reputable and properly trained Jyotisha gemologist.
It might be easiest to start with single gem and combine them as your Vimshottari Dasha and your finances allow.

"Blue Sapphire is the gem stone ruled by Saturn. Blue Sapphire should be worn by the native of a birth chart in which Saturn rules auspicious houses.
If Saturn as ruler of an auspicious house is ill disposed or afflicted in any way in a birth chart, wearing of a Blue Sapphire will neutralise the evil effects of such disposition.
It is believed that Blue Sapphire gives very beneficial results but if it proves unsuitable it destroys the life of the native .
... Blue Sapphire should be got set in a ring of steel. (If that is not possible Ashta Dhatus hould be used.)

|Shani ratna mixed with other ratna||
Under certain circumstances in the nativity, Shani Ratna compatible with Chandra Ratna (moti, pearl) - only, of course, if both Chandra and Shani are mutually well-disposed in the nativity. |
It is fine to mix Blue stones for Shani with White stones for Moon during the major period of Chandra for example if Shani rules the lagna or Shani is the dharma pati.
If it is determined to mix Shani-ratna with Chandra-ratna, be sure that the TONE of the Chandra-ratna is a blue tone. For example, purchase a bluish pearl not a yellowish pearl and not a reddish pearl. Chandra has no enemies.
Functioning as bhavapathi, Professor Shani and Professor Surya can hold only a 7/7 or a 6/8 relationship to each other.
Naturally, it is not recommended to mix the Ravi-ratna with the Shani-ratna, and do not mix the Mangala-ratna with the Shani-ratna, except in very special circumstances. The Jyotishi may have some exceptional reason to prescribe an unusual combination, but in general do not mix inimical graha.
It is not recommended to purchase a Blue Sapphire or any other gemstone until after one has become suitably educated about the stones and their traits.
It is easy to purchase fraudulent stones, but with a bit of care one can avoid the pitfalls of resin-filled, dyed, or heat-treated gemstones.

I have exchange of houses between Shani and Moon. SJC peoples says that If I wear Pearl for Moon then it will give result of Saturn vice vers.
In my humble request to you,What is your opinion?
If the radical lagna = Thula, Mithuna, Makara, or Kumbha, and Chandra does not occupy Karkata or Simha, then the Shani-ratna becomes an auspicious jewel for the native and should be worn during Vimshottari periods of Shani and possibly for the entire lifetime (a lifetime gem prescription requires detailed analysis).
Similarly if the radical lagna = Mesha, Karkata, Vrischika, or Meena, and Chandra does not occupy Kumbha or Dhanushya then the Shani-ratna becomes an auspicious jewel for the native and should be worn during Vimshottari periods of Chandra and possibly for the entire lifetime (a lifetime gem prescription requires detailed analysis).
Even if Shani and Chandra enjoy a parivartamsha yoga, the decision whether or not to wear the Shani-ratna should be based on the status of the bhava which are ruled by Shani.
If Shani rules any of the auspicious bhava 1-4-5-9 and He is not the ruler of either 6th or 8th-from-Chandra . lagna, then Shani may be considered a beneficial influence in the nativity.
When Shani rules auspicious bhava, His qualities of lawfulness, sobriety, frugality, and orderly personal conduct may be cultivated. He may be worshipped on Saturdays, and His stones and colors may be worn in a mood of mature and respectful self-discipline.

Q: hello, I was wondering, in what metal should blue sapphire be put in?, like in a ring?, should it be silver or gold?
I was wondering, in what metal should blue sapphire be put in?, like in a ring?, should it be silver or gold?
Silver, platinum, iron, or steel are all OK for Shani-ratna.
I prefer sterling silver or platinum to set the blue sapphire. Dr. Kapoor prefers steel , and I like blue steel, as well as silver. Steel matches the energy of frugal, cold, pragmatic Shani, and it is affordable too.
If you are going to add other Jyotisha ratna to the blue sapphire at a later time, however, choose silver because within a silver setting a diamond or emerald can be added later.
Sincerely, BP Lama Jyotisha
|Q: Subject: sky blue aquamarine |
Whether sky blue aquamarine will work as gem saturn?
|A: Namaste, |
Aquamarine is a beryl that is similar in structure to Emerald. Traditionally aquamarine is a less expensive uparatna assigned to Professor Budha . Although very beautiful, aquamarine is considered lower power alternative to the main Budha-ratna = emerald.

Yes these three ratna = emerald + diamond + blue Sapphire = mutually compatible. They can be very effective interactively when the nativity can properly utilize all of them and all three gemstones are set together in silver or platinum.
|Q: I have a large diamond of excellent quality along with a large blue sapphire inherited from my grandmother. The mahadasha of my uttama-Shani is about to begin in my present lifetime. |
I'm looking for the best way to wear both of these gemstones in a way that conducts their energy with optimum effect.
One ring? Two rings? One pendant? What is the best way to wear both ratna?
|A: Namaste, |
If the stones are large, it can be more comfortable to combine then in a pendant. However you have several choices if you prefer a ring. The two ratna can be combined in a single ring setting. Or, two rings can be crafted to wear on two fingers - right and left hands.
In my opinion, it is OK to wear Shani-ratna on the Shani digit of the left hand, although astrologers from ethnic cultures which have a left-hand taboo (India, Nepal, Burma, Pak.) will find the left hand inappropriate for a remedial jewel. I'm from a leftie-loving culture (USA) and in practice I find that all of the blue-toned gems (Shani, Shukra, Budha) work fine on the left side.
(However do keep the ratna for Guru, Mangala, Chandra, Surya, and Rahu-Ketu on the right hand, for sure.) OK one in ring, one in pendant. OK both together in pendant. OK both in same ring. IMO, it's OK to have hira on middle right finger and neelam on middle left finger, but this is controversial in some cultures. The pendant is effective and solves the finger problem, it's also a solution for people who can't wear rings at work such as physicians and cooks, or men who for cultural reasons (western) prefer the ratna to be hidden under clothes.
