|
For Vrishabha lagna and Vrischika lagna
Budha-Ketu bhukti Potential Divorce signification
|
Vimshottari dasha
each Budha period is always followed by a Ketu period.
-
Budha = L-2 for Vrishabha and L-8 for Vrischika. Thus lord
of 2 or 8, which is a divorce trigger, is followed by
influence of "surrender" Ketu.
-
Should the marriage be on shaky grounds before the Budha
bhukti begins, and if other factors are present such as Budha
ruling or located in an argumentative position, -
then marital disintegration may start in a Budha period to
be followed by abandonment and an exclamation of "I give up"
during the immediately subsequent Ketu period.
-
During certain long mahadasha (Shukra, Budha, Rahu, Shani)
the Budha and Ketu periods are proportionally quite long also,
therefore the script of argument (Budha) followed by apathy,
despair of improvement, and ultimately abandonment, is given a
long playing time in the script.

Shukra
Domain-1 signifies
personal
competition for social validation through a winning
combination of physical behaviors and traits.
The Vrishabha native seeks to
develop the physical identity through association with precious natural resources, wealth
and luxury ,
arts and music, fine foods and furnishings. Personally identified with history, accumulated
financial and artistic values, exquisite oils and textiles, and traditional
lore.
One prefers an aesthetic approach to life.
Vrishabha natives are generally
artistic, beauty-loving folk who have a great love for animals and
medicine (due to Shukra also lord of 6) along with a certain
affiliation to servants and the working class (6).
Because Shukra = L-6 for health,
Vrishabha natives
fight a
lifelong battle with sugars (possibly in the form of alcohol). The
appearance is governed partially by Shukra, which favors a
pastel-white-diamond-variegated complexion. Within the
native's gene pool, there is a notable tendency for the
appearance to favor lighter pigmentation and attractively
balanced (Shukra) features.
Vrishabha
natives strive to maintain a
competitively
attractive personality and physical appearance.
They like material
wealth and sensual pleasure. If Shukra occupies 2, 5, 9 or
11, these natives often bank considerable hoards of valued items.
Physical appearance depends on
the condition of D-1/D-9 Shukra.

Domain-3 rules "busy-ness" (business). -
Naturally, whichever bhava is ruled by Chandra the Lord
of tides and flows will fluctuate. -
Under Chandra's lordship, the native's approach to the
repeating habits of daily life will fluctuate. -
The Vrishabha native is soothing and empathetic one
moment, distracted and inaccessible the next. -
The native's mental habits and manual craftiness will
experience ebb and flow cycles throughout life.

Vrishabha natives may enjoy extraordinary

Often the native is a gifted

Mental health
vacillates.
-
Mind is
overactive.
Depending on Chandra and occupying
graha in house-3, the
thinking process
may be brilliant or berserk, tyrannical or tame.In general the
native will face mental challenges related to difficulty with studies,
inability to concentrate, and resistance to complex or profound
subjects of thought.
-
However the Vrishabha native can learn well
through intuitive channels, and via any methods which involve
cyclic
repetition (Chandra) such as ritual chanting or dance.
Talking about Feelings
-
Vrishabha lagna derives emotional
satisfaction and a sense of belonging from the act of talking.
-
May
enter into debates and planning sessions with an emotionally charged motive.
-
Often one feels a need to get emotional nurturing attention through
repetitive argument;
such a pattern does not seek to "win" the debate but rather
to create emotional validation through cyclical repetition of familiar
(if negative) feelings
Mother
-
Vrishabha lagna natives are often born to
mothers
with an
Actively

Budha
Dynamic self-expression and
divine intelligence find a
wellspring of energy for medicine, police work, social work, and other
human service ministries.
The Vrishabha native is a natural
servant of humanity, who possesses a regal confidence in approach to
many of life's most intractable problems: animosity, debt, and
disease. If Budha is strong, an extraordinary intelligence may leads to
celebrity recognition for the genius of one's service to the
working classes.
Loves children, especially sick
children and ill geniuses, and ego-identifies
deeply one's divine inspiration to serve them.
On
the negative side, the Vrishabha native may seem to act like a petulant
child due to a chronically self-centered (5) repetitive argumentation
(Kanya) that one dramatizes in a sort of adolescent performance
art. Vrishabha can tend to repeat a litany of chronic complaints
in the workplace (Kanya); and to brush off one's own patterns of
misappropriation,
misrepresentation, and theft with regal disregard.
There is a
tendency toward taking illicit privilege while maintaining a
compelling internal argument which justifies
the decision.
For Vrishabha lagna , presuming that Budha is fairly

Depending on condition of

having workable solutions.
The Vrishabha native gets into trouble during periods of the 6th
lord just like everyone else, but one's natural desire to provide
everyone with access to beauty and truth is the "get out of

Kuja
Marriage is sexual and
competitive, with a powerful fleshly sensuality. Unless Kuja is dignified, conflict
emerges in the marriage. Vrishabha tends to marry the competitor, a
professional equal, rather than seek traditional
public-private
compatibility. Wants mystery, control, and exploration in the marital scene.
Contracts, agreements, legal discussions, all
types of advising are vigorously, actively pursued from the basis of
the native's intent to gain control. Divorce
is common due to anger, unless Kuja is tamed; but the partners may
remain sexually involved even after divorce.
Spouse is a healer: manipulative,
secretive, ambitious,
vigorous, insightful, and likes to win. Sexual and psychological
intimacy is easy to
achieve, but the struggle for control between the two partners may be
monumental.

not easily accessible. Native tends toward a positivistic,
materialistic worldview. Sees religious authority and priestly
ritual with a skeptical, common-sense eye.
Although deprived of access to

structural materialistic viewpoint as a cure for religious excess.

Kuja
The meditation and inner sanctuary house is disrupted by
Kuja's vigorous physical energy.
Unless Kuja is dignified,
performance of sitting meditation in this athletically active rashi may be out of the question. Energized discussions on cosmic matters and many forms of hunting,
including hunting of spirits and insights, are favored under
Vrishabha
lagna.
Enemies of the marriage, always
indicated by the L-12 and graha within vyaya bhava, tend to be
masculine or competitive, sporting personalities with a strong
entitlement toward sexual pursuit.
Beneficial for active work in sanctuary
spaces such as think-tanks, hospitals, ashrams, private elite
conferences, other activities shrouded from public view.
Propensity toward extramarital engagement, but as always this
depends on Kuja's role and any graha inhabiting or sending drishti to
house-12, as well as Kuja's disposition in D-9.

Summary of Graha
Lordships for Vrishabha Lagna
|
|
Surya = L-4
|
Surya karaka for rational self, soul, and ethical
awareness, controls the native's childhood home, and one's subsequent
access to social and emotional security, including education.
Career
Because Surya is a karaka for career and public recognition, and
Ravi = L-4 for Vrishabha lagna, the Vrishabha native is somewhat
disposed toward to accept public roles and professional
leadership responsibilities within the realms of home,
the land, And cultural roots schooling (4). Environments include
the schoolroom, the early childhood home, real estate and home
management arts, kitchens, building construction and
maintenance, land ownership and stewardship, national and local
defense, protective care of the elderly and the very young,
maternal-child concerns.

Chandra

The highly
fluctuating and impressionable Chandra controls the domain of mental
tasking and business administration Relationships with neighbors,
co-workers, and routine daily interactions are infused with emotional
feeling. The native feels more than average empathy in mundane
interactions, and has a more psycho-intuitive approach to training
and
administration than normal. Even routine
daily conversations are personalized. Native can be moody and
sensitive to slights or insults, especially within the circle of friends
and family. Needs reassurance that he is wanted on the team.

Kuja
L-7, L-12
|
Vital and competitive Kuja controls alliances,
agreements, and private sanctuary. The spouse is naturally competitive, active,
and sometimes perhaps aggressive (according to the character of Mangala
in the Vrishabha nativity).
Spouse will work hard and play hard. Research
(12) and physically vigorous,
goal-oriented foreign travel (12) are favored. Sleep is less peaceful for
these natives; the Vrishabha folk may take extreme measures to ensure
one's sleep. Sitting meditation may be unfavorable due to mental
restlessness; and bed pleasures
are sexually (Kuja) activated.
Kuja dosha
is less harmful for Vrishabha lagna because Kuja sends drishti to
swakshetra Vrischika rashi, which tends more to give the spouse a strong personality
rather than harm marriage relations.

from his career as a newspaperman, and winnings from speculative
political contests [Kanya, 5] based on his performative
argumentation during political speeches.
Kumara controls the
domain of family of origin , wealth from hoarding
and historical
lineage values (2) and the domain of wealth from speculation, genius of
divine intelligence, and creative production of children (5).
Budha is therefore a beneficial graha for Vrisha
lagna, albeit the Kumara may function as a maraka timelord in the
Vimshottari Dasha.
It is generally beneficial to strengthen Budha
with a pure emerald. Possibly it will also help to apply some of the
lesser crystals such as peridot and other green obsidianite.

Panna
(pure Emerald) for Vrishabha Lagna
from
~~ Dr. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems
and Astrology. Ranjan Publications, New Delhi. p. 99 :
-
"For the Taurus Ascendant, Mercury
is lord of the 2nd, the house of wealth and the 5th a trine. -
Mercury
is, therefore, a very auspicious planet for the Taurus
ascendant. -
The native of this ascendant
can
always use Emerald with advantage. -
It will help in acquiring wealth and
the native will be blessed with children, intelligence and good
fortune. -
The beneficial results will become
more pronounced in the major period and sub-periods of Mercury. -
Wearing
an Emerald with
Diamond,
the gem stone of Venus, the lord of this Ascendant and a
friend
of Mercury, will magnify the good results. "

Guru = L-8, L-11
Magical knowledge; expansion of the social,
financial, and conceptual networks
|
Wise and expansive Gurubrings abundant
income, gains of wealth often assisted by access to secret or privileged
information;
generous and liberal friends; and assemblies gathered for purpose of
receiving wisdom teachings.
In a female nativity,
Guru =
significator of the first husband
Vrishabha lagna or
Vrishabha-Chandra
indicates characteristics of 8 and 11 in the first husband.
Tendency for first husband to be an abundant earner, gainful due
to expansive friendliness, and well connected into networks of
association (11). However as L-8 Guru connotes emergencies,
intense and catastrophic transformation (emotional catastrophe, if
Vrishabha-Chandra). While generous and inclusive (Guru) the husband
acquires behaviors of secrecy and with a tendency to make sudden
changes.
Favorable for a surgeon,
psychiatrist, obstetrician, deep energy healer, or any
professional who handles emergencies. If the L-8 function causes
divorce, the couple may remain friendly after the legal
termination of the marriage.

"For the Taurus Ascendant,
Jupiter is lord of the 8th and 11th and is, therefore, not considered
an auspicious planet for this Ascendant.
-
Apart from that, the lord of
the Ascendant
Venus
is not a friend of Jupiter. -
Still if lord of the 11th Jupiter
is in the Ascendant, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 9th, l0th or 11th (in his own
sign), the native will have financial gains if he wears a
yellow sapphire
in the major period of Jupiter."

Shukra
L-6, L-1
|
Sweet and
sensual Shukrais also a disease maker, depending on His bhava,
companion graha, and incoming drishti.
If L-6 Shukra occupies Ari bhava, He becomes an
agent of addiction to sweet foods, candies, ladies, alcohol, and numbing
drugs.
In a male nativity,
Shukra =
significator of the first wife.
-
Vrishabha lagna or
Vrishabha-Chandra
indicates characteristics of Ari and Tula in the first wife.
-
Tendency for first wife to to have health problems (6), difficulty
to reach and maintain agreements, quick-changing and typically
argumentative mentality, tends toward criticism.
-
However the first
wife is also visually attractive, has a strong vitality and
well-developed social personality (1).
Shukra = a double-edged sword for the Vrishabha native.
Although Shukra =
lagnesha and therefore Shukra = an agent of
self-validation and designator of one's place in the
world, Shukra = also L-6. It is generally said that a graha which rules two bhava of a nativity will give
the strongest results for its mulatrikona rashi. For
Vrishabha, Shukra's
mulatrikona = Thula Mahadasha of Shukra which
starts with a double period of Shukra will bring out the
6th-house effects, particularly the dissolution of
marital agreement (potential divorce) and illnesses
related to sugars, including alcohol. Bhukti periods of Shukra, when Shukra occupies the 6th-from, 8th-from, or
12th-from the mahadasha pati, are problematic in the
same way.
Shukra is an especially difficult graha for
nativities in which Shukra = L-6 as measured from both radix lagna (material
animosity) and Chandra lagna (emotional imbalance):
-
Vrishabhya radix lagna + Vrishabhya Chandra
-
Vrishabhya radix lagna + Dhanushya
Chandra
-
Vrishabhya Chandra +
Dhanushya
lagna
Remedial and
Supportive Gems for Shukra: Flawless
Diamond
(hira) for Vrishabha Lagna from ~~ Dr. G. S. Kapoor. (1994).
Gems

-
"For the Taurus Ascendant, Venus
is lord of the Ascendant.
-
Therefore, Diamond can always be worn
by the natives of this Ascendant for longevity and for advancement in
life. -
It will be particularly useful to
wear it in the major and sub-periods of Venus. -
Combination of Diamond
and Emerald will prove very
advantageous for the natives of this Ascendant."

Shani
L-9, L-10
|
L-9/L-10 Shani becomes yogakaraka for 'Go' lagna.
One of the best characteristics of Vrishabha lagna
is that hard-working and orderly Shani becomes the yogakaraka L-9/L-10, and
three bhava will receive the auspicious drishti of Shani as
dharma-karma-adhi-pati. Three houses thus benefit from the
drishti of the all-good ninth lord and the pretty-darned-good 10th-lord.
L-10 of course brings plenty of public
responsibilities, and performing public leadership duties leaves one
little time to pursue profitable personal business.
(For example, the author of Bhavartha Ratnakara
says that Shani cannot be a yogakaraka for Vrishabha lagna.
Shri B. V.
Raman,
the translator of this Sanskrit work into English, most strenuously
disagrees; Raman says "of course" L-9/L-10 is a yogakaraka.
But then Shri Raman was famously not afraid of hard work.)
Despite His taste for austerity and karma-yogi
character, Shani is a reliable guide to wisdom as L-9.
In a female nativity, Shani =
significator of the second husband
Vrishabha lagna or
Vrishabha-Chandra
indicates characteristics of 9 and 10 in the second husband.
Tendency for second husband to be religious, especially in a
ritual or ceremonial fashion (9), and one is well-known or has
high public dignity and responsibility in one's community (10).
The husband-agent-2 is involved in being a father, moral guide,
and possibly a priest.
Badhaka-sthana
L-9 Shani = the
badhaka
lord for Makara lagna (Badhaka or
"harming" houses = the 9th from a fixed lagna, 7th from a
changeable lagna, and 11th from a cardinal lagna.)
Domain-9 from Vrishabha lagna =
Makara
= the primary
"Badhaka"
or harm-causing domain. Fixed lagna typically has some trouble
from the father, guru, professor, religious or moral teacher,
temple, religious teachings etc. If Guru occupies Makara, the
native may experience considerable trouble when dealing with an Over-confident
Or fraudulent
father or teacher.
Periods of Shani may bring forward an
agent in the figure of a father, father-role, guru, priest,
professor, or some abstract personage known through
wisdom-teachings, who (often inadvertently) causes harm to the
native via punitive or materialistic behavior, intolerance for
alternative viewpoints on matters of ritual order, and strong need
to impose conformity in belief.
This badhaka agent
must be handled with
compassion, in the knowledge that this harm-causing agent is
merely a projection of one's own unrealized fear of the deeper
truth of religious teachings, the permissiveness of the higher philosophies,
materialism in the priestly orders, and
with self-proclaimed teachers of "only one right path"
versions of truth.
Difficult graha in occupation of dharma bhava or
Shani drishti upon domain-9 may exacerbate the badhaka agency.

Blue
Sapphire (neelam) for Vrishabha Lagna from ~~ Dr. G. S. Kapoor. (1994).
Gems and Astrology. Ranjan Publications, New Delhi. p.

-
"For the Taurus Ascendant, Saturn is a
yogakaraka planet being lord of the 9th and 10th houses.
-
Therefore, if
a Blue Sapphire is worn by the native of this Ascendant he will always enjoy
happiness, prosperity, name and fame, advancement in the professional sphere
and favours from Government. -
The results will be more pronounced if Blue
Sapphire is worn in the major and sub-periods of Saturn. -
It will prove more
advantageous to wear Blue Sapphire with
Diamond
and the gem stone of Venus, the lord of this Ascendant."

Rahu |
Rahu's effects for Vrishabha lagna
depend significantly on Rahu's bhava, rashi, and drishti. Rahu amplifies
the effect of any graha who are sharing Rahu's house; and also Rahu
magnifies the effects of the lord of His occupied Rashi.
Rahu is co-lord of domain-10 Kumbha,
therefore Rahu-ratna
(gomedha) may, for certain specific purposes, become a beneficial gem.
If Shani is strong, Rahu can aid matters of professional
recognition and acquisition of respected social positions. However, even for
these particular targets, prescribe the Rahu-ratna only if the lord of
domain-10 and its occupants are highly auspicious.

Ketu |
Ketu's effects for Vrishabha lagna
depend significantly on Ketu's bhava, rashi, and drishti. Ketu amplifies
the effect of any graha who are sharing Ketu's house; and also Ketu
magnifies the effects of the lord of His occupied Rashi.
Ketu is co-lord of domain-7
Vrischika. Therefore Ketu-ratna
can, for certain specific purposes, become a beneficial gem for the
Vrishabha
native. Exceptional applications of the Ketu-ratna may be profitable if
the native is positively involved in contract negotiation, advising
professions, Or relationship development. However even for
these purposes, apply Ketu-ratna with caution and only if the lord of
domain-7 and its occupants are auspiciously placed.
