Many siblings, many team-mates, much ensemble group cohort

Brihaspati is a multiplier, producing many and much.

Professor Budha is a duplicator and copier, producing doubles and couples such as siblings and sibling-figures like teammates, office-mates, ensemble players, and those who work in coupled setting such as police-patrol, co-pilots, or other jobs that must be done in cross-trained, dual-competence sets of two.

When Guru and Budha are yoked, the combination produces many types of cooperative-collaborative groups such as team-members, much cohort, naumerous sibling-cousin figures.

Budha and Guru are not mutually friendly.

  • Bantering Budha sees Guru as a sama-graha * neutral.
  • However, Grand Guru dislikes detail-oriented Budha. Guru sees Budha as a shatru-graha enemy.

It is a somewhat conflicted combination with the potential for dogmatism, cognitive dissonance or hypocrisy if not consciously managed.

In bhava-2, may be especially outspoken

  • POTUS-pair-16 Illinois 1818-1882 Mary Todd Lincoln was a classic outspoken Jyeṣṭha woman who had a platform and used it. Unafraid to claim her roots in obscure frontier politics, mTL became an exceptionally well-known public figure in her day, due to the dramatic conditions of the Civil War and her eccentric husband Abraham Lincoln. Despite her own father being a slaver, mTL spoke fearlessly for the abolition of slavery and in support of women's rights [Budha-yuti-Shukra].

If sufficiently amplified or distorted by additional graha, may be an ideologue.

  • Venezuela-Pres 1954-2013 Hugo R. Chavez + [Chandra-yuti-Ketu]

  • Opus Dei 1902-1975 St. Josemaria Escriva + [uchcha] Kuja

  • POTUS-37 Watergate 1913-1994 Richard Nixon In addition to being a pronounced ideologue, rMN was a constant writer. His military service consisted entirely of writing administrative reports from a safe office building. His legal career consisted of writing briefs. Most of his political career consisted of attending meetings and writing memoranda.

Macro vs micro

from Brihaspati's perspective, the nature of the conflict = Guru takes the broadest, most inclusive, most generous and optimistic approach. Budha by contrast focuses on micro-detail, upon argument and data.

Combining data with doctrine

Speech style emphasizes articles of faith, doctrinal claims, dogma, ideology, sacred teachings, sacred knowledge, wisdom, and prayerful imagination, as characterized by Budha's rashi and Guru's happiness within that rashi.

Spoken and written expression is generally charitable, expansive and optimistic, albeit doctrinally influenced.

Frequent reference to the father, the papa-pope, the guru, cult of the high priesthood, high philosophy, and received doctrine.

Depending on the balance of power between Guru versus Budha, there can be a variety of expressive outcomes

  • Total Surrender 1910-1997 Mother Teresa of Kolkata = [uchcha-Budha]-10 gives Uttama Budha is a critical thinker and super-planner and ministries of service to the exploited. While contextualizing her life in commitment to her faith, she was noted for practical management of paperwork without losing sight of larger goals, ability to convince others of the wisdom of her viewpoint, and careful observance of small but significant details. Her doctrinal commitment to the patriarchal priesthood (Guru patronage) particularly the Roman-Rite adherent Pope was richly referenced in her speech and writing.

By contrast, the combination of Guru can produce a powerhouse of critical thinking [Budha] on topics of religious culture

  • Among the Believers 1932-2018 culturalist V.S. Naipaul + [Surya-yuti-Ketu] (3, writing) a master of critical analysis of large-scale religious indoctrination and the effect of rigid orthodoxies upon social behaviors, particularly (and inevitably) when combined with politics [Surya]. His Ketu provided the witness observers agnostic distance; Guru provides the global scope.

In the nativity of one in the wife role, budha-yuti-Guru = karaka for marrying the same husband twice. Dhava-karaka Guru = husband + bantering Budha = a doubler. Applies also to Guru-parivartamsha-Budha

In the nativity of one in the husband role, budha-yuti-Shukra = karaka for marrying the same wife twice. Shukra represents wife, and Budha is a doubler. Applies also to Shukra-parivartamsha-Budha

Typically, acouple who marries, divorces, and remarries each other has the husband-doubler and the wife-doubler in their nativities. Often there is a significant drishti from Shani into the doubler-yoga also.
